Has anyone else applied for Emory’s Distance- Accelerated BSN for Spring 2021?

I submitted my application and materials prior to the priority deadline. Waiting to hear back on Nov. 13th. Fingers crossed!

What is Emory's ABSN passing grade for a class? Some schools are 80% to pass each class. I'm curious to know what is Emory's

Im not sure my program does not start until Tuesday the 18th and they never mentioned that as far as I am aware, I did miss one orinetation zoom so possibly could have mentioned it in that. Also Emory no longer has the normal ABSN program now, If you plan to go on campus it is called the MN /Master of Nursing prelicensure program and it is 15 months long compared to the DABSN program I am doing that is 12 months long and is fully online, besides clinicals. So that program started Fall 2020 so they might have different guidelines since its newer

I think overall passing minimum is 70%, and you also have to get 70% or higher on exams.

"Students are required to repeat a course if they earn a grade below a C- (<70%). A grade below a C- (<70%) constitutes a course failure."

"Clinical Nursing and Nursing Science Courses (Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and Health Assessment): Testing by examination in each course will comprise a minimum of 70% of the course grade. Students must earn a weighted average of 70% on exams in order to pass the course. ATI proctored assessments are included in the average as appropriate. Once the 70% is met, papers and other written assignments will be included into the overall final grade. Failure to achieve a 70% on the final grade (examinations + written assignments) will result in a course failure"

Has anyone received any emails or calls regarding the fall DABSN yet or have any insight on a possible decision release day?

I haven’t heard anything yet...  When I reached out I received an email letting me know that they respond on a rolling basis. So I don’t know what that timeline looks like. What I’m curious to know is if I am denied for the fall (I applied late, mid-April), will my app be considered for the Spring.

I believe you can only have one application open at a time per term. So if you are denied for the fall, you have to re-apply and ask them to be considered for the Spring. It is is also tricky though because some of the Spring deadlines will have passed. I applied for Spring 2022 and checked the status of my application the other day. It looks like early decisions for Spring 2022 should come out around June 16th. If that is the case, I would hope you'd hear back about Fall 2021 soon. I inquired about spots a few weeks ago for that cohort and there were some left.

I just received an email back and they said they are working on them right now and we will hear back before June 1st!

I’m curious how many of us are applying for the few extra seats....  At least we will know soon where we stand ?

Yay that is so soon! Good luck to you guys.

Has anyone heard back yet?

No. I was wondering the same thing! I check all of the time but no news yet...

I have not either! I emailed Megan yesterday because she was the one who told me before June 1st and she said she was going to double check with the placement committee and then emailed me back only saying she did not hear from them yet. She did say there are still spots for fall so I really have no clue now when we will hear.
