Emory D-ABSN 2021

Has anyone else applied for Emory’s Distance- Accelerated BSN for Spring 2021?

I submitted my application and materials prior to the priority deadline. Waiting to hear back on Nov. 13th. Fingers crossed!

I still have not heard a thing about fall. I keep checking my application to see how many green check marks is has, but not much movement in weeks.

This was what I was worried about. How soon id see that my application had been received amd was progressing....I am going to call them on Monday to ask.  I really want to understand if my classes are all lining up or if I need to take anything to be eligible.

How is this program? I have family live in Atlanta but I do not live there. Is it okay for me to give their address or should I really live in Atlanta/Georgia to apply? Also, what is the length of the program?

Hi, you do not need to live in ATL for this program. You may be able to pursue this program based on where you actually live. The first step is to email [email protected] and let them know you are interested in the program and tell them the city and state you live in to see if they would be able to arrange clinicals in your hometown. Good luck.

I live in CA, but can I take clinicals in ATL or Baltimore? I know they do not admit students from CA but can I give my family address in ATL or Baltimore and apply? Is it allowed?

I applied a while ago and if I'm not mistaken, you can put your home address and there is a separate question asking what city and state you would like to complete your clinicals in. For example, I put down that my permanent address is in New York, but for clinicals I can drive to Stamford, Connecticut to complete them since the program will not place me in clinicals in NY. I do not believe you can complete clinicals in Atlanta, since that is mostly for students who apply to their on-campus program, but you can put a nearby city close to Atlanta. You can also email them and ask if they can are able to provide clinical placement in Baltimore, and indicate that as your choice.

@Nicesupermarket thank you for the detailed explanation. Is it super tough to get into Emory nursing?

Can anyone tell me is it super difficult/competitive to get into DABSN?

My classes for my DABSN fall application have finally been checked off! Does anyone know how long after this happens that you usually hear back about your decision?

I just saw that mine are checked off as well. They weren't as of yesterday.  I am really anxious to hear back and nervous as well. I googled Emory acceptance rate and it said 19%....is that accurate??

I think that is accurate! I am very nervous as well! Hopefully we hear back soon!

Have you heard anything back yet? I reached out today and was told only that my app is under review and they reach out on a rolling basis. An older post mentioned applying and not hearing back for months so I am wondering what rolling means. As decisions are made or every few months....
