Has anyone else applied for Emory’s Distance- Accelerated BSN for Spring 2021?
I submitted my application and materials prior to the priority deadline. Waiting to hear back on Nov. 13th. Fingers crossed!

Hey rolling admissions means they let people know as the applications come in and they review them. I applied at the end of jan and found out I got in for the May cohort in March . Also they only allow 30 student so they could possibly meet that before seeing all applications since they do rolling admissions
Thank you guys for the feedback!! Have you heard much about how difficult it is to get in? Or do you know from personal experience? There is not a lot of information on this program as far as competitiveness, I cant tell what I am up against. When I googled acceptance rate it said only 19% are accepted.

You could always contact one of the admissions advisors and ask for an update to see how far along they are with reviewing your application. Or contact David Smith to program director .

You could ask and see if you wanted to start in May rather than fall time. They have said in the emails they send us that it’s a full class but true could just be saying that.
They say rolling, but judging from the comments people seem to find out a couple months before classes start - or later. So if apply early it takes awhile and if apply late it is quick. Apparently clinical placements more challenging now too so doesn’t help. Unfortunately this makes it difficult when don’t want to miss out on another program that starts earlier and have to make a decision. They are very responsive to emails, but just told me I will get an email when they have an answer. Never hurts to check in though.
And yes it does seem to be challenging to learn many details about this program. Scrolling through all the previous posts on allnurses gives some insite.

I agree about past posts being helpful, I have gone way back and there is definitely a lot of good insight from past and current students. I applied last month in hopes of being considered for fall but am a Ca resident and have reached out a few times to see if I can speak with someone about me being able to relocate for clinicals since my state is not accepted currently. Fingers crossed I hear back soon either way! ?

They will certainly contact you if you are a fit for the program and willing to relocate. There’s someone in my cohort currently in CA and is somehow making it work with clinicals. They ask you to sign a contract about where you agree to complete clinicals, though that is at your cost if you choose to stay in CA. Quite a few from my cohort also relocated to accommodate clinical placements. Hope this is helpful!
Not sure why people are having a hard time finding out about the program if you call the admissions counselor named Megan or email the emory nursing email on the program page she will respond and you can set up a phone call time to go over everything about the program with her.
It is 12 months, 3 semesters, each semester is split into 3 sessions. It is all online besides the clinicals which start in the second semester. You will be located at the same hospital throughout the whole clinical time and they try to keep it under an hr drive for you. First semester classes are three days a week, second semester they are three as well, then third only 2 days a week. All classes are via zoom. Clinicals are atleast 12 hours a week so you get the required amount to sit for the NCLEX. You work around you assigned preceiptors schedule you.

I have not!! I emailed them last week and they said you usually hear back about a little over a month after your application is in. So it does sound like it can really come out whenever
