Emory D-ABSN 2021

Hi JLColton,

I applied for the Fall 2021 D-ABSN. I submitted my application on October 8 and am awaiting the decision on Nov 13 as well. 

I am so nervous.

@queenrus have you talked to anyone at Emory so far?

Do you have any idea what time decisions are released today?

I haven't spoken to anyone but I did send an email yesterday regarding decisions coming out on November 13.  I haven't received a response as yet. I think I will call them.

@queenrus good idea!! I thought about sending an email as well. If you end up calling and reach someone, would you mind letting me know what they say?

Yes, I agree...I think they are flooded with calls. I just tried again but no luck. Hopefully they will respond to my email as well.

OK, so I received a call back and I am told we will receive the decision today at 5pm. So fingers crossed @JLColton

last time I talked to them, they still had spots for the Spring start too (January). Would you take that too or are you needing the later start?

I hope we get in! I am not so surprised that they still have spots....I checked how many students are in some of the D-ABSN courses currently and I saw that it was just 14 to 16 out of 30 available spots.

Oh I would love to start earlier than Fall but I still have Human Anatomy/Physiology 2 to take, as well as Chemistry and Microbiology.

Are you finished with your prereqs?

Oh wow, I’m surprised they have that many spots still available. But, it is a new program so I guess that makes sense. 
 

I have completed all my pre reqs. I actually finish a masters degree in 3 weeks in nuclear medicine. I just have decided to do a career change. My ultimate goal is CRNA now.

Wow that's awesome....are you thinking of Emory for the CRNA once you complete the BSN?
