Has anyone else applied for Emory’s Distance- Accelerated BSN for Spring 2021?
I submitted my application and materials prior to the priority deadline. Waiting to hear back on Nov. 13th. Fingers crossed!
I just received word the I sadly did not get into the D ABSN for fall. They said they could not find placement for my area but would like me to transfer my application to another semester for when they do find placement. Does anyone know if they say this to everyone? I don’t want to get my hopes up in case it is just an automated message!

That’s what had happened to me last round! They really cannot place people because of COVID recently. Where are you located?

there is three classes RN. one is not bad at all but like a waste of the zoom time for sure. she just goes on and on and we can lear everything we need to know for exam just from the prerecorded lectures. with the patho/pharm claass you need to stay on top bc it is hard. exam 1 was not hard but we are on exam 2 material now and it is 13 lectures and alot to study for one exam

I don't get why they are saying that bc none of us have been clinically placed yet. they don't do that until end of first semester/beginning of second.

the inemory program is in person so you will have to move to ATL

I’m so sorry. This has been the longest road trying to get into a program. I’m waiting to hear back still and I bet it’ll be a no for me as well. I live in Ca and said I could move to Seattle. Did they email you? I keep checking the student portal but nothing yet...

I got a status update on my application portal!
I am currently in this program. I would not recommend it to anyone. Every single aspect of the program is dysfunctional. Clinicals are pretty much non-existent. Leadership is rude and takes forever to respond to emails. Most of the program is spent in confusion and being unclear about timelines. Dates are constantly switching. It's impossible to plan anything.

You dodge a bullet with this one! Trust me, there are other programs out there that offer the same education for a cheaper price. It might take three extra months, but it will be worth it to avoid the DABSN program.

That’s a bummer, I would have thought small groups would force the opposite and make everyone want to join in. Again thank you for the feedback!! It’s really helpful.
