Hi everyone!

I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.

I know a lot of you have had questions about the admission decision release! Admission decisions will begin being released at 5PM Eastern Time on November 15th. Decisions will continue being released as the admission committee reviews applicants for this fist round of submissions. You will receive decisions and updates in your admission status via your Application Portal Page. Does anyone still have prereqs that are "awaiting" still even though the transcripts have been received. I have emailed the [email protected] about this issue and the response was

Thank you for contacting Emory School of Nursing,

Once your transcript is recieved, it will be reviewed and then the prerequisites you completed will be checked off.

Which was not really helpful because my prereqs were not checked off.

Hi cwata14, I think sometimes it takes awhile for the application status page to update. If they received your transcripts and some of the prerequisites should have been checked off that have not been, yet, I would ask them about those particular courses and why they haven't been marked as completed!

JLK, thank you for chiming in! I did ask specifically about the courses. I said ___ transcript was received on MM/DD/YY and the prereqs A&B were not checked off yet and I was sent the above email response! I do not want to keep bothering them, but also confused.

Hey cwata14, my pre reqs took a little while to be checked off once the transcript was received.. I think it was around a week, hope that helps!
