Emory absn 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.

has anyone else applied by the October 15th deadline with all green check marks and still hasn't heard anything? I am worried that means I did not get in

I made the deadline but still have read check marks, so I am not sure what that means.

I submitted my application on 7/17 and have all green checks, except for a transcript of a class I am currently taking. I have yet to hear anything.

Any word as to whether all of the decisions have been made. Didn't know if I should stop checking OPUS and assume I didn't get in. I still haven't had my GRE waived or one of my prereqs checked off, so I was wondering if that meant it was just a "no." Thanks for any word :)

I am still waiting for one transcript to be checked off but sent it a while ago- also getting worried its a no since others have heard :/

Trying to stay positive, and congrats to all that got an acceptance!

If they haven't checked off your prereqs, they probably haven't reviewed your application yet. I was accepted, and found out shortly after I got all green check marks (except for my one class that is still in process). They notified me through the online application. Keep your hopes up! I know decisions are on a rolling basis and there is a long time to go before the final deadline. They should let you know if you're accepted, waitlisted, or denied soon.

Does anyone else only have 1 item under financial aid on their OPUS account? I have had two since I was able to log into OPUS and now only have one item which is FAFSA Application and it also says it's "initiated". Anybody know if this means anything? Just looking for positive signs!

The same thing happened to me. I had the CSS application before and now only have the FAFSA.

Does anyone know if this is a good or bad thing? Or another standard procedure in the process?

Same thing happened for my OPUS account. Unfortunately I am not sure if it suggests anything...

Hi everyone,

I have been reading forums on allnurses for a while now but this is my first post.

I was recently accepted to Emory's ABSN program for fall 2017 (applied on 8/25/16 and was admitted on 10/25/16 if anyone is wondering). I am trying to decide between this program and another program.

I would be interested in connecting with other prospective students/classmates (couldn't find a Facebook group for Emory ABSN Fall 2017 Start, only Emory ABSN/MSN Summer 2017 Start). I think someone posted that they created one but I cannot find it. Can you post the name of the group please so I can join? Thank you.

Congrats to all that have been accepted so far and goodluck to those waiting to hear back.

So now I had another form added in my financial aid to do list. I don't think it is a bad sign that we have had things come and go in that section.
