Hi everyone!
I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.
Congrats to those who have been accepted so far!(:
I have a quick question.
I submitted my application back in September, but was not able to submit my test results until 3 days after the deadline. Will I still be considered for the Nov 15th deadline, since the actual application was submitted before the deadline, but 1 of the application requirement was submitted after.
I would think that test scores are pretty important in the decision making process, so I don't know if not having them in by the deadline would have hindered their ability to review your application and make a decision. In the FAQ it reads:
"We encourage all applicants to submit the online application and other required application materials early, as this helps ensure that your application is complete by the priority deadline."
Since it's emphasizing that the application be complete by the priority deadline, I would assume that the test scores would have to have been submitted by that date. However, if I were you I'd e-mail [email protected] to see what they have to say about my particular situation! They're really fast with responding to e-mails!
Congrats to those who have been accepted. I'm retaking my TEAS but hoping my last two pre-reqs will bring my GPA to 3.5 (I should have it with my micro this semester though). I'm so wishing that I can soon get an acceptance, but I'm thinking they are waiting for my TEAS retake and micro to make that decision.
Hey guys! I was thinking of making a facebook page for Emory University ABSN Class of 2018 Admitted Students (or something along those lines) so we can all share questions, ideas, articles, papers, etc. I know in my current program at Emory staff set up their own fb group for admitted students that everyone uses pretty frequently so the nursing school may do that at some point, but I figured in the meantime we can have our own as we navigate the decision-making process. What do y'all think?

It also shows up on mine but a decision hasn't been posted and my prerequisites aren't even all green yet so I'm assuming it's an error!
