Emory absn 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.

I totally tried making one but maybe I'm just technologically challenged because I couldn't figure how to. It wouldn't let me create the group without actually adding people from my friend list first. I was super confused and gave up. But if you know how to do it I'll totally jump on board!

Hey everyone! Congrats again to those accepted : )

How long did it take after all the green checks showed up to hear your decision?

mgates4 I had a decision made before I even got all green check marks (I'm not even sure if they have updated that yet) so I'm not sure what that even means! But if yours are all green the soonest you'd probably here is this week. If not I would imagine they'll wait until the 15th

Hello again,

Has anyone heard anything recently? Starting to believe we are going to be waiting until the 15th to find anything out. Nothing new on OPUS.

Hi, everyone! I applied to Emory's ABSN program for 2017, too! I haven't heard back, yet, but was wondering if there is anyone who has applied on this thread that is also still working on their bachelor's degree (to be completed in May) as well as some of the prerequisites for the program? I don't know if they will review my application before these courses are finished or not, and at that point it would be May! Any insight from people in the same boat would be greatly appreciated!! I'm really hoping this doesn't impact my chances of getting in. :(

I am still working on my Bachelor's too. I will finish in December, but my pre-reqs won't be done until the end of Spring. You will still be considered, don't worry! A lot of people apply with a degree and pre-reqs still in progress. Your admission decision will just be contingent on your completion of the degree and courses.

Hey there! I'm graduating with my first bachelors in May 2017 and have 2 pre-reqs that are still in progress as well! I received my acceptance to the program in October so don't worry too much about those factors affecting your chances!

I will also be completing my bachelors in May! Those of us still in progress shouldn't have any issue receiving a decision, we just have to make sure to complete our pre reqs with decent grades. I'm getting so anxious!!

It's so good to hear that I'm not the only one with that situation! Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! Congratulations, Rho134, on getting in! And Penny1115 and mgates4, good luck to you both! We will all have to keep each other posted!

Yes, definitely!

Where are those of you completing your bachelors going to school?

I attend the University of Wisconsin! How about you?

I'm finishing at The University of Georgia!
