Emory absn 2017

Hi everyone!

I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.

I am also applying to Emory for the ABSN program. I just submitted my application :).

Hi,

I also want to apply this cycle, but I thought we needed the GRE not the TEAS.

Hi! I also applied for the ABSN program. Submitted my app two weeks ago and now just waiting for the green check marks!

Has anyones application moved from the red x's to green checks yet? I wonder how long it'll take..

If you're applying to the ABSN program, one test score is required (GRE or TEAS). They suggest the TEAS if your GRE score is over 5 years old.

If if you're applying for the ABSN/MSN program, the GRE is required, not the TEAS.

Does anyone know the average stats of the ABSN program?

like TEAS scores and cum gpa etc

I've applied, just waiting to finish my Chemistry pre-req and debating b/t TEAS or GRE

Do we need to submit our official transcripts when applying or can we submit our unofficial transcripts?

Is anyone going to the Open House next weekend?

Is anyone going to the Open House next weekend?

No, I'm based out of California. If y'all go, let me know how it is(:

I will be going. Hopefully they can answer some of my questions!

Hello,

I just submitted my application for the ABSN-MSN 2017 cohort. I have two questions: (1) has anyone gotten an answer on waiving the GRE if you have a previous Master's degree? (2) Does anyone know if you can apply to both the ABSN and ABSN-MSN programs at the same time? I took the GRE several years ago (and scored horribly) but since earned a MS degree with a solid graduate and post/bac GPA... was wondering what chance I had of having it waived. Also, how long has it taken everyone to be able to log into OPUS? I have not been able to about 24 hours after submitting my application and am terrified that I made some clerical error that I don't know about in the application. It keeps giving me a message that says that my name, SS#, and birth date are not in the system.

Thanks for the help everyone, and good luck to all!

Liz

Hello,

Also, how long has it taken everyone to be able to log into OPUS? I have not been able to about 24 hours after submitting my application and am terrified that I made some clerical error that I don't know about in the application. It keeps giving me a message that says that my name, SS#, and birth date are not in the system.

I also tried to plug in my birthday and SS# when I submitted my app and I got the same message. All communications about my application were through the online application page (the same one with all the green check marks) and they shared the link with my admission decision there. However, I went to Emory for undergrad so I was able to sign in with my old opus login information (but there was nothing specific to nursing on that account). Shortly after I was accepted to the ABSN program, they reset my opus account with a new password. I think you are fine--just use the online application page, or call if you are concerned! Good luck :D
