Hi everyone!

I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.

3.86 cumulative GPA / 3.9 overall GPA (A's in all pre-reqs but currently finishing up A&P 2 as well as Life-Span Development)

92 individual score on the TEAS / 99 percentile score

3.75 cumulative undergraduate GPA (3.99 last 60 units)

3.5 cumulative graduate GPA (ongoing)

4.0 prerequisite GPA

315 GRE score (156 Q, 158 V)

I hope we get an answer at the end of this week!!!

Total GPA 3.76

Prereq GPA 3.95 (A&P in progress)

Master's waiting on GRE waiver (have not retaken)

Paramedic work experience

I am so nervous! Still some green check marks to go and the deadline is so close. Good luck to everyone!!

Hey again,

Does anyone know if all items on the application checklist must be checked off to get an admissions decision? I'm finishing up my bachelors degree now and have to take two classes in the spring and those three items are the only things not checked off. Don't want that to hinder them making a decision.

From what I've been told it shouldn't! I'm currently finishing my bachelors degree as well and I'm also taking 2 pre-requisite courses!

Just wondering, has anyone heard anything about admissions decisions? Sounds like they usually don't stick the the application timeline that they advertise on the application account.

I applied about a month ago and haven't heard back yet! Maybe they'll just lump us in with the priority deadline applicants? They have all my transcripts and started to check off prerequisites but then just stopped. It's been a few weeks since anything has updated, but I was told that the Admissions Committee is still completing their initial review of my app. Guess we'll just have to wait a little longer!

Hi Cpat32!

You may submit an application for admission with the courses and test scores in progress. In order for application to be reviewed by the deadline of our application submission, test scores must be submitted to our office by that respective deadline. However, all prerequisites must be complete with a grade of C or higher by the beginning the nursing program. Awaiting courses will not hinder your admissions decision or process!

Hi Everyone!

I am a Nursing Fellow with the Emory SON and wanted to let you all know a little more about our deadlines and notification dates! Our first priority deadline was October 15th. This was our priority deadline for admission and consideration for merit scholarships. The corresponding notification date is November 15th, this is the latest date you would be notified, you can find out your decision anytime before then. Here is a table outlining these dates.

Hi EmoryNursing, do you know if we should be able to login to OPUS yet? On the site it says we should be able to, but it won't let me obtain my ID.

I was just able to log onto OPUS though I don't see a decision yet. I tried to log on and was unable to do so for over a month now (fyi).
