Emory absn 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!

I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.

Hello,

Also, how long has it taken everyone to be able to log into OPUS? I have not been able to about 24 hours after submitting my application and am terrified that I made some clerical error that I don't know about in the application. It keeps giving me a message that says that my name, SS#, and birth date are not in the system.

Thanks for the help everyone, and good luck to all!

Liz

I also tried to plug in my birthday and SS# when I submitted my app and I got the same message. All communications about my application were through the online application page (the same one with all the green check marks) and they shared the link with my admission decision there. However, I went to Emory for undergrad so I was able to sign in with my old opus login information (but there was nothing specific to nursing on that account). Shortly after I was accepted to the ABSN program, they reset my opus account with a new password. I think you are fine--just use the online application page, or call if you are concerned! Good luck :D

Thank you Newport! That makes me feel a lot better about the situation. Fingers crossed! And congratulations to you!

Hi Everyone,

As per the department 5 people have been accepted so far. They are facing problem with moving data to OPUS account so OPUS will not give clear indication. My all signs are green and they will let know everyone by Oct 15 if you applied prior to that . GRE is waived off in case you are candidate with masters degree. Mine is ABSN+MSN . Please share if anyone hear from the university.

Thank you for the update rkp. I just today have started to see some of my transcripts turn to green checks. I am a little nervous because two of my schools were sister schools and share one transcript form. Only one of the two schools was checked however. I emailed them about it, but I hope they see this upon a more detailed review. 10/15 is coming so fast I hope my application will be filled with green checks by then. I am also waiting on a Master's degree/GRE waiver, fingers crossed! Thanks for the update. I'm so nervous! I also applied for ABSN-MSN.

Talk to them , if have any issue . Esp , if you see green in front of pre-req's , question about degrees and GRE waiver ...send them email at [email protected]

Also , they intend to announce acceptances in batches all the way up to 15th Oct

Hey you guys!

I am also applying for the ABSN Fall 2017 cohort. I sent in my application on 9/20 (a few days after I took my TEAS exam), and I'm still waiting for some of my red checks to turn green. I was looking on the other forums, and it seems that Emory can be pretty quick with sending out decisions; so hopefully we won't have to wait too long!

Hey y'all! I submitted my ABSN application on the 20th and am waiting for those green checks too! All of my transcripts thus far have been received and a few prereqs have been checked off but not all of them. For those of you finishing up your prereq courses this fall, did you submit a transcript to show they are in progress or are you just waiting until the final semester grades come out to send one?

You need to show the proof or indicate that courses are in progress

Were you guys able to create a network ID and password through OPUS? I haven't been able to do so and it says in the FAQ that applicants should be able to create an account to track their status.

As far as I understand OPUS has not been working for anyone but it does not seem to matter too much. What I was told is that your admission status is emailed to you and also appears on this application checklist with the green checks. I'm waiting on my prereqs to be cleared too, and its nerve-wracking!

Oh good, I just wanted to make sure I didn't do anything wrong lol. I'm guessing the wait time in decisions will depend on the volume of applicants they have right now. I read the forum for the fall 2016 cohort and some people found out their decisions in as soon as 10 days and some in as long as a few months! Did you guys apply to any other schools?
