Hi everyone,
I thought I would get a thread started for the Emory ABSN/MSN 2016 application cycle. I am going to the information session next Friday, July 24th for the program.
Has anyone else started to get ready for this application cycle?
I still have not heard anything at this point. No wait-list nor denial. I am trying to keep a positive outlook but I am dying to know! @jtsmvido atleast you heard something pretty quickly after submitting your application. I applied before you! I believe tomorrow is the day, but I sent an email just in case to check on my status. Good luck everyone who hasn't heard anything at all! I know waitlisted people have another couple weeks to go but best wishes to you all as well! Fingers crossed!
If I can offer some encouragement. ******* told me early on that if you're waiting a while to hear back, it means that the admissions committee is really taking its time considering you, which is a positive for you. I know that it doesn't make it any easier. Trust me, I know how you feel. A girl in my class and I applied a day apart from one another. She was wait-listed within 10 business days. I didn't hear back until mid-February (and I was a priority deadline applicant!). I did end up being accepted, but it was literally over a month after the Emory website indicated that I would definitely have a response. I didn't love the disorganized feel of this whole process, but I also tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they're literally trying to decide between thousands of applicants. Keep your chin up.

That makes me feel better! Thank you for telling me that I truly appreciate it! Chin is up higher than it was :) I know what is meant to happen will it's just hard to have the patience to see that sometimes! Thank you very much!!
Abwiggs4NP what do you mean tomorrow is the day?
bot4apris yes, that is exactly how i felt; the fact that they waitlisted me so quickly made me think they really are not considering me.
elc1234 my overall GPA is a 3.6 and my prerequisite GPA is 3.9. I took the MAT because the GRE is not being given until past the deadline, and I think my score was like around a 430ish.
has anyone been given a total cost of attendance for the program?
We haven't been given a total cost of attendance, as the prices vary slightly from semester to semester. But the first summer semester came in right at $27,500. The fall and spring semesters I would assume to be a few thousand more than that.
