Emory ABSN/MSN 2016 Program

Hi! I am applying to Emory's ABSN/MSN 2016 cycle also. Unfortunately I live in California so I cannot attend an info session. Is there any information you couple provide for a fellow applicant?

I am a bit confused as the application is very basic and we don't need much such as LOR and etc. I got this from the website

"Our application process is designed to be exceedingly easy, saving you time, and allowing us to review your application with a minimum of effort on your part. Our process requires no essay, and no letters of recommendation, and allows you to apply using self-reported information and copies of your transcripts. Should the Admissions Committee require more information to make their decision, you may be asked to provide additional information. Should admission be offered, official documents will be required to confirm information contained in your application."

Did they address this or does anyone have any information?

Hello! I am also applying to the 2016 ABSN/ MSN cycle. How was the information session? I am attending the session on Monday, September 14th. Can you provide any new updated information that was provided in the session that may not be on the site yet. For example, the application deadlines... Is October the priority deadline for ABSN/MSN students as well?

it's a very simplified application process which i found to be refreshing it took me about 20 minutes to complete. I live in Texas so i don't think i'll be able to attend an information session either. Please pass on information

No problem, I will let you know. Can you be more specific to simplified. Does this mean that they do not require the test scores, LOR, and transcripts right now?

What I mean by the application being simplified is that all you have to submit is your unofficial transcripts and your GRE scores. There is not a letter of recommendation or essay requirement.

Our daughter submitted her app and is wondering how long it will be to get a decision or request for more info (essay, interview, recommendations, etc)

She received an email stating "your application will be reviewed within 7-10 days of receipt...following the initial of your application, you should expect to hear from us with a decision or, in some cases, a request for additional information"

10 days have passed with only an email confirming all pertinent material had been received

I'll be applying for the ABSN/MSN program as well and just noticed Emory's new application process with the first priority deadline being Oct 16th. Does this mean the application process is now rolling?

I was told yesterday that it may take a little longer than 10 days but it should be soon. They have a new application system that they are trying to iron the kinks out of.

Yes! It now has 4 deadlines for guidance but keep in mind the sooner the better. For Absn programs December 15th is the latest.
