Emory ABSN/MSN 2016 Program

Hi everyone,

I thought I would get a thread started for the Emory ABSN/MSN 2016 application cycle. I am going to the information session next Friday, July 24th for the program.

Has anyone else started to get ready for this application cycle?

I submitted my application Nov 3 and I created an OPUS account as well, but have not received any updates yet...

I dont believe so. I submitted my application a week after I took the GRE. You can do it afterwards

Fellow waitlister here. My cumulative undergrad GPA is 3.21, prereqs are ~3.7 (can't remember exactly), GRE 303, GRE writing 4.5. I have over 400 hours as a hospital volunteer and I have been a doula for 2 years now. The whole waitlist thing makes me so uneasy. I would LOVE to provide them with additional information, as feel that I only have positive information to submit at this time, but I don't want to bombard them with unrequested materials. Does anyone have any more info about the waitlist process?

I asked if I could apply to the ABSN program if I didn't get in to the ABSN+MSN and was told yes, but it looks like you aren't allowed to have 2 applications open at a time on their site. Now that I'm waitlisted, I'm planning on calling for clarification on that.

how long did it take you guys after applying to receive an admissions decision?

i applied by the oct 15 deadline and i think they sent out decisions first week of november. someone here mentioned they are going to notify waitlisted applicants another notifications after the dec. 15 deadline..

Yes, I applied to the ABSN only. They told me wanted more info and they needed a standardized test score. Anybody else in the same boat? I was hoping I wouldn't have to take a standardized test.

I had to send test scores as well and found out I was accepted last week, so don't stress! Here is the link for the absn thread.

Wait listed :( I live in Maryland and found out i got into a school in PA. so I am not too worried. But Emory is rated #10 and has a good name to it. Does anyone know anything about the wait list/when we find out if we get off of it?

Sav768. Did you apply to both programs, the ABSN - MSN and the ABSN only? I just called and was told that you can only apply to one program or the other, but, that you could switch your application from one to the other. Any clarification is appreciated.

Just the absn. I wanted to apply to the absn/msn but the program start date was too early.
