What holster do you use??

  1. Started my preceptorship and am tired of crap all in my pockets. Looking to invest in a holster but want to get something that will last. Not looking for anything too bulky, but want something that I can stash my scissors, hemostat, penlight, and shears in.
Anybody have a good holster to recommend.

    Thanks in advance

Well, the one I had was big enough to carry both my gun and ammo ..........

kidding!!!!! Seriously, I just stuff everything in my pockets, I try to buy scrub pants that have those pockets down the pants leg for more places to put "stuff."

I wear pants with lots of pockets. Used to use a little fanny pack. That worked good too. They called me robonurse. When I worked on the tele floor everyone thought it was cool, but when I transferred to the ER they made terrible fun of it and I stopped. Just used lots of pockets.

www.aviatorscrubs.com have lots of pockets. Pockets are better than fanny packs since everything can be reached without opening a zipper.

The aviator scrubs are sooo cool - many pockets with velcro flaps.

TopherSN - you don't really wear this - do you??? Maybe at Gitmo its appropriate - lol.

Some of the nurses in my dept use one the "propacks" here's the site:

Myself, I'm also a HUGE aviatorscrubs fan and all my goodies fit easily in my pockets, even my "bigshears" that weigh a ton but are the best trauma shears on the planet!

I just stopped carrying so much darn crap. I get by with 3 pens, a calculator, smal lscissors, a hemostat, and my med cheat-cards. Oh, and chapstick - don't leave home without it.
