well finaly can post that i had my medical and embassy interview:yeah:
My experience is as follows:
went to knightbridge dr's for medical pls ensure you get the right practice they have 2 clinics 1 in knighsbridge 1 in marlyborne my medical was the latter and only noticed there were 2 the night before, arrived filled out another more detailed medical questionaire then went nto another roon had a chest xray kept the gown on then asked to sit in another waiting roon Dr came in went to his room he went through the questionaire he the weighed me measured my height i then sat on the examining couch he listened to my heartand lungs looked in my ears mouth palpated my neck and thyroid felt my under arms gave me a mini breast exam checked my abdo for hernias and scars, checked my ankles for swelling then did BP then did a blood test for HIV and AIDS so all in all took approz 2 hrs but there were 4 in my family, a word of caution the female Dr who examined my 16 DD did a visual genital check and it your medical breif it does say they can do this so be aware.
My embassy interview went as follows:
appt time 0900 arrived at 0815 and went straight through security do not take moble phones or ipods they will take them of you, we collected a number sat on chairs in a large hall waited approx 1 hour our number was called out we went to a window this women went through our docs then told us to go and sit back down and wat for our number to be called again for our interview we sat for another 45 min number was called we went to another window was asked why i wanted to go to the USA DD's were asked have they taken their GCSE's DH was asked what his job was and after 10 in thats it, they kept our passports and we went to the courier office and paid 20 opounds for all our passports to be couriered back to us with our visa stamp inside, a bit of an anti climax really but thrilled we have finaly done it,
1 thing to not we had to have photos done and paid approx 60 pounds for 4 sets and found out when we arrived at the embassy their is a photo booth there for 4 pounds per set worth knowing.
Hope this helps those who are comming behind as i know there is liitle personal accounts of peoples experiences:D
So now waiting for our passports to be returned, and planning on traveling 1st week in may to start our new life.

Thank you for this, I have looked on this site and others for what happens but this is the first time I have seen anything detailed. Your poor daughter, that couldn't have been very nice for her.

A pleasant day to all of us! :)
I'm happy that the NVC is now processing PDs March 2006 as per May VB..my PD is almost there.
I would like to inquire about CVS for NYS. Is it necessary to apply for this since I have already a Vermont State license? Or do I only need the endorsement? I need to know this..my decision to get CVS will be based on this, since it will take not less than 8 months to process.
If I wont be able to get a NYS license the moment I get there, am I eligible to get a limited permit so that I can start working?
Hope to hear from you guys soon. God bless and thank you.
