i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Thanks! My family is trying to plan a family trip during the 3rd week of school, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to go (granted I get in, of course). I'm still not sure if I will, but it is nice to know I won't miss the start of clinicals if I do go. Thanks again for the info :)

Week 3 was our Vital Sign check-off. I wouldn't miss that week at all. It seemed like there were check-offs left and right. Oh and also they deduct points if you are absent. I think it was 2 pts. They check roll each day and everything because they want you there.

I know there's a certain amount of days that you have to be in regular class, I'm sure in nursing school it's even more strict.

I know that the amount of clinical hours needed is very strict.

We could only miss 3 days of lecture or 12 hrs of clinical.

I bought the syllabus last semester and I didn't even use it!!

So what is so special about the syllabus that you have to BUY it? Every college class I have ever had they just gave you a syllabus. ???

Agreed. The syllabus was/is a waste of money. It's not anything special. The binding barely even stays together haha.

I start at Parkland 0630 tomorrow! AAAAHHHH!!!! I hope I haven't forgotten everything. I am so afraid of that. I will be there for 6 days 0630-1530 M-S. I am very excited but at the same time I am very nervous. I am the only one coming from 1st semester in the group. Everyone else is 3rd or 4th!! AAAAAHHHH!!!! Hopefully they will still be willing to teach me stuff.

I hope everyone is having a great summer!!! I can't believe it's almost over....
