i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

I just got back from the Health and Legal Studies office and I got some great information on scholarships. The lady that works in that office was super sweet (imagine that at El Centro!!). Anyway, if anyone is interested I can snail mail the info. to you. hey everyone!

i don't mean to be annoying but i wanted to let everyone know that ordering your name tags would be wise to do right now. i just ordered mine and they said it would take 3-4 weeks to get here and then sometimes they come back misspelled and then you have to re-order them. i know it says in the packet to do it early but i just wanted to reiterate that. :) they are $11 a piece and they recommend to order 2 (one for your scrubs and one for your lab coat) and that's what i did.

if you already ordered it or think i am completely annoying, please feel free to ignore this post :crash_com

I ordered my name badges today. I can pick them up in a week. :)

I asked my psychology and A&P2 classmates about the nursing program. Nobody got accepted! I talked to a guy who had 4.0 and only one support class and a girl who also had 4.0 GPA, but no support classes. They were so close to get in. :(

That is so sad! I wondered how many 4.0's didn't get accepted because of the amount of support courses completed. I know I would be more disappointed having a 4.0 and not get in than I am with my 3.77. OUCH! (Thank goodness I have all of mine complete...now just to work on that 3.77....) :rolleyes:

Did you order your badge at El Centro? That girl told me it would take 3-4 weeks. You'll have to let me know when you get yours so I can see if mine are ready!!!! Crazy misinformed bookstore people! hahaha

That really sucks about those people :( I was in their shoes last year with only one B on my whole transcript and it was what held me back for a year. It really stinks when you're that close but no cigar. :bluecry1:

I saw a girl the other day walking into El Centro with a t-shirt that said "RN 2B" on a license plate on the back of the shirt. It was really cute and I was wondering where she got it. She was walking really fast so I couldn't stop her :roll

I saw those t-shirts, too. I think you can make those at home.

I ordered my name badges at North Lake. I hope I get them next week.
