i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Well.... I ended up with a C. I'm not thrilled because it's an 82 and I am one point away from a B. That final was very difficult for me... I got a 79 and I know I could have done better than that. Oh well.... I'm still a senior!!!!!!!!

We lost way too many people today.... how about you guys?

Has anyone got any dirt on 3rd semester? Is is harder than this?? My wintermester starts on friday and I will be missing the first class b/c of HESI.

Thank you Fun :) I had Isa this past semester and I really liked her. Her specialty is post-partum so she is very knowledgeable and helpful. Trammell- I had her for pediatrics and I loooooooooved her. I wish I would have had her for everything! She's a pediatrics NP so she knows so much. Good luck choosing someone!!

Katie- we have Charlton, Medical City Plano, Parkland, and St. Paul.

I chose Medical City Plano as my #1 because I like the instructor. I then chose Parkland, then St. Paul, and then Charlton as my absolute last choice.

Brianna- yeah we lost 4 people that I know of. That one girl who was fighting the system didn't pass :( It was a sad day for a lot of people.....

Well I just checked e-campus and I actually got a 81, but I still have a C!!!! Ugh..... I'm just thankful that I'm still here! AMEN!!!!!

I have clinicals at at Harris HEB... the time says 7am-5pm. Is that how long y'all will be there? Some of us are at Presby Dallas from 1pm-11pm!!!

Clinicals at night must be fun. ;) We can have clinicals from 7-3pm or 7-7pm.

By the way, some of us got back our major care plans today. I got an A but not from my clinical instructor. It was actually Ms. B. herself grading my care plan. Wow, I am so happy I got a good grade from the instructor who teaches care plans. :monkeydance:

Hi everyone! I have been MIA for a few months due to this studying thing!! I'm a 1st semester ECC person - and OUR FINAL IS OVER - and I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!! Those 80 questions in 2 hours almost sent me over the edge! For the most part it was a happy day - but it was sad for a few (not sure exactly how many):o .

Congrats to all of you who are moving on!! I would love input on 2nd semester rotation recommendations - even though I already turned in my "choice" form - but I would still like to know what I may be facing in a few short weeks. Our options are Trammell (MC for Pedi), Pritchett (Parkland OB/MS); Edson (Presby OB/MS); Smith (MC Plano OB/MS/Pedi); or Isa (Charlton OB/MS).

Everyone keep your heads up - regardless of your situation!!!

Brianna - I don't know first hand but P.F. of the ECC Health Occupations Admissions Office calls 2nd semester 'The WALL'. I have also heard from others that 2nd semester is the hardest. You made it over 'The Wall'.

I don't know what's going on with the class finishing 3rd semester at NLC. They always say that the "next semester" is the hardest. Well, I enjoyed OB material very much and I liked this semester.

That's awesome Katie that Ms B graded your care plan and you got an A!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got an A in clinical and skills. So- 2 As and a B....just like last semester hahaha.

I've had several NL people ask me how they can transfer to EC because apparently 3rd semester is so difficult at NL.....I'm not sure about that. Surely it will be the same material right? I loved pediatrics but I could have done without the massive amount of OB- blah. I really used to want to work L&D but now I'm over that LOL.

I'm hoping beyond hope that I get my 1st choice. I know it will be a looooong drive to Plano but I would love the clinical instructor and the lecturer. Could one be so lucky? Probably not.....
