If they do the same way we had this semester then everybody has pedi with one instructor at MC so you don't need to pick a pedi rotation. But there are groups that have OB/MS at MC, too. The schedule should show all the OB/MS clinical options. Have I answered your question?![]()

I'm not sure, Katie: I do understand, we all have the same rotation at MC for pedi rotation. But they gave us that as an option to chose as our first , sec. ,third,... choice. That's why I got confused, maybe the option is to go to the pedi rotation first and then you go to the OB/MS. And that's where I wondered how will we know which hospital we will get after we did the pedi rotation, because there is no option to put that on the paper. Maybe I don't make sense. Thanks for trying to help me figure this out, I guess I just have to go and ask them Monday.
Thanks,have a question,
I got my package for sec. semester, I am somewhat confused about the rotation choices.
If you pick the pedi rotation first, how do you know which hospital you will get for you OB/MS for you rotation after that. As far as I can tell , if you choosing your OB/MS rotation upfront, you will get to chose the hospital for that and than you everyone gets the same Pedi rotation at Med City afterwards. I am just confused, but maybe your's was different. Can anyone help me, lol?
Besides that good luck on your finales.
For this past 2nd semester schedule they had 5 clinical sections and depending on which section you choose it will rotate with another section. like for example Section 5211 which was a Pedi rotation at MC. First you will go do the pedi rotation at Medical City and when they tell you it is time to rotate to do OB and M/S you was suppose to go to section 5212 for OB and 5213 for M/S. Section 5212 which was at Parkland for OB/M-S you do that rotation and than you will go for MC for Pedi. I had section 5215 which was at Charlton and we had OB/M-S which we did for like 8 weeks and than 2 days was done at MC for Pedi. You can have the pedi rotation first or you can start out with OB/M-S just depending which section you get. ECC only had 1 teacher for Pedi so we only got 2 days at MC and we had to do SIMS baby to gain more experience. I hope that helps some. I have the whole schedule in front of me for this semester. They will probably have an orientation at ECC for all of the schools like they had back when school started that will tell you all information and the section you choose, your clinical instructor will tell you where you need to be on what days. It is different for each section because when we was going to clinical other people had a couple of weeks off while we was still going. I hope all of that made sense. The school might describe it better. :)
