El Centro Spring 2015

Hi all,

I am starting a tread for all the students that will be applying for spring 2015 ADN program at El Centro. Please join and give any info that you might have. I want to be successful as well as everyone else trying to apply.

Has anyone taken the HESI Exam at El Centro college or the North Lake College campus? If so, any suggestions and advice to consider before taking the exam. I have take TEAS V before and scored a 92%. Is the Hesi harder than the TEAS? I'm taking the HESI for the first time. I am using the Hesi study guide. I am planning on taking the exam on Nov 18th 2014 at North Lake Campus. If anyone who has already taken the exam it would be really nice for early heads up.

I haven't taken the teas but I've heard from people who have done both that the hesi is a little easier.

I've taken both, to me Teas V is harder. If u made 92 on that then u should be good with Hesi. I took my Hesi at elcentro, I think it doesn't matter where u take it, just study hard for the test, go prepared and be on time. If u decide to take it at elcentro get some $$$ for parking. Good luck on your test.

Wow 92 on the TEAS that's impressive. I've taken both and the teas is a lot harder than the HESI. Most people tend to struggle on the vocabulary section of the HESI. Math is just some word problems, fraction, decimals, converting fraction to decimals vice versas, and ratio. Sentence structure is also on grammer. Reading is self explanatory to your own knowledge. hopefully that helps

*Fingers Crossed! I am just so happy I even made it to this point. Counting down the days for the letters to arrive in our mail boxes. I remember stalking these forums when I first decided to pursue nursing. I felt I was so far away from this point yet here we all are impatiently waiting and worrying. I guess thats better than never having completed the pre-reqs to apply. If we don't get in guys there is always Fall 2015. Not what anybody wants to hear but the way I see it is only one semester would have gone by.

I feel like I will be stalking daily in the chance someone recives a rogue letter early. :yes:

I wonder if we called if the office would tell us when they are actually mailing the letters...
