El Centro Spring 2015

Hi all,

I am starting a tread for all the students that will be applying for spring 2015 ADN program at El Centro. Please join and give any info that you might have. I want to be successful as well as everyone else trying to apply.

I know... I wish I could fast forward time. lol! How many points did you apply with?
me too!!! i applied with 26 points i new i wasnt going to get in but i just gave it a shot. im hoping this time will be better after taking a couple more classes :)

I agree! They made us apply so much earlier this year... It's made the wait worse!! It would have been nice if we could have finished a few more classes in the Summer II session.

I applied with either 32 or 31 points.

I took the nutrition class several years ago at UNT. They called it NUTR 1322 instead of BIOL 1322. From what I read, I don't think El Centro will give me a point for taking it since the course numbers don't exactly match. Because of this, I think I will end up with 31 points.

I bet you gonna get in! :-)

I got 5pt from my HESI, and I don't plan to retake it anytime soon. I will apply with 30pts after the fall semester. Hopefully I get in when I'lol be ready to apply. Did anybody apply with just 5pts from the HESI? Please let me know. Thanks guys! :-)

I'm sure you will get in with 31 points :) i'm only applying with 27 points, but I thought it was worth the shot anyways. Getting closer. I hope we can all get in and finally start our new journeys. Good luck to everyone!

Compared to prior semesters 29 points is competitive! I think you have a really good shot. Hopefully we will be starting together in a few months!!! :)

My biggest fear is having enough points but messing up the paperwork and getting rejected for something dumb that was totally my fault. That would make me feel a lot worse than not having enough points.

What location was your 1st choice? Did you go with El Centro or Northlake? I picked El Centro.

I chose El centro as my 1st choice but it doesnt matter what campus they put me at i just want to get in. I to hope that we both will start the program in a few months (crossing fingers and toes). I hope everyone who desires to be a nurse gets in. It has been such a long road for us and tring to get accepted is not a joke! lol I keep thinking about that letter and i getting more nervous i wish the days will go by faster so i can breath again! I had made a copy of my application and sometimes i look it over to see if i signed, dated and crossed every T. Because i will be so hurt if i didnt get in because of a simple thing as completing application incorrectly. Keep the faith and think positive that our names are on that roster!!! :)

Hi Everyone! I am trying to get in THR/EL Centro's program for Spring 15. I applied for the program for the Fall and got a denial letter due to a clerical error on el centro's part. Now that it is fixed I hope to be accepted for Spring and I am waiting so patiently for the Oct 15th letters to be mailed out. I have 28 points. This is the only school I was able to apply to and is attached to my workplace so I am praying to get in. Anyone trying for THR's program?

Oh thats horrible to hear that you were denied based on El Centro's error. Hopefully it wont happen again!

You seem to be a lot nicer than me. I would have raised he** with everyone I could find in the upper management levels of El Centro and DCCCD until they either kicked me out of school or they let me in...

Did anybody take advantage of Sentry letting students submit online yesterday before 5pm? I had been meaning to post that on here, lets just say Chem is kicking my butt. I am hanging in there. I received the email a week ago from El Centro.

We are nearing the Oct. 15th date. I am more nervous than excited. I hope to be one of the students making a NLC FB pg by the end of this month. If not just gotta keep trying. Good Luck EVERYBODY! :up:
