Hi all,
I am starting a tread for all the students that will be applying for spring 2015 ADN program at El Centro. Please join and give any info that you might have. I want to be successful as well as everyone else trying to apply.
I am clueless and annoyed at this point! I recieved my denial letter for the Fall through the Elcentro/Methodist program. It didnt say why I was denied just no seat available! How am I gonna know what denied me!?!? I also applied for the Elcentro regular program with the same forms. So hopefully, like most of us on this thread I will get in this time. I've applied twice! HOw do you know what the cutoff points etc are? Where is it listed on the denial letter?
nursegirl1d,
I was also denied for the Methodist Fall 2014 program. I met with Kimberly and she told me that the main reason I was denied was because I did not have a lot of supporting classes which is the same as not having enough points. I applied with 25 and I knew that was not enough, but I decided to still give it a try. It is a little harder to get into this program because there's only 10 spots available and since its a free nursing school. They received tons of applications. I have also heard from several students who got accepted that they had more than 30 points. Some had 33 other were around 31. I re-submited my application for Spring with 27pts, therefore, I'm anxious to know if I'm in or not. Don't give up, just keep trying! You're almost there!
We will receive a physical letter in mail on oct 15th i had applied for fall 2014 and didnt get in. I received it on the exact date they said we would which was like may 15th. I received two sheets of paper they say if you are accepted there should be at least five papers in the envelope. Its getting closer but sept seems to be dragging.....
I agree! They made us apply so much earlier this year... It's made the wait worse!! It would have been nice if we could have finished a few more classes in the Summer II session.
I applied with either 32 or 31 points.
I took the nutrition class several years ago at UNT. They called it NUTR 1322 instead of BIOL 1322. From what I read, I don't think El Centro will give me a point for taking it since the course numbers don't exactly match. Because of this, I think I will end up with 31 points.
