Hello Mike, I am also taking as many classes towards the ADN program to apply in August for Spring 2015. I will have all my classes finished by August except chemistry, I did not want to rush that class. I still have not taken the Hesi A2 (scares me ) I also need CPR BLS for healthcare providers but plan on doing all that this Spring semester. I still need all the immunization records, physical and all the other hoopla. I could of applied for fall 2014 but I do not want to open a denied letter.

Hi! All classes except for Chemistry?! That's pretty awesome. I'm also trying to apply for El Centro Spring 2015 and I'm hoping for 33 points, praying that is enough to get in! I'm also applying for the Methodist Program to see if I can get accepted at least in one of the two programs.
I need 7 classes, I will be taking six up until August. I just took 1202 Wintermester, and will take 3 Spring '14 Micro, Stat and Engl. 1302. Then 1 class each semester for Maymester, summer I and summer II, which are basically Engl classes and 1 college algebra. I am taking chemistry fall '14 and might possibly retake Engl. 1301 since I made a B. Does anybody plan on retaking any classes where they got Cs. Does it matter? I got a C in a psych 2314 (easy class I know took it online summer before I decided on nursing)and I'm not quite sure what to do. How does it affect my grades once in the nursing program?
Bottom line, I will Basically have 26 pts. before taking the Hesi. Lowest I could have is 29 pts. highest would be 38pts. (highly doubt 38 lol) 40 if I take chemistry and up engl. 1301 to an A. I don't want to over work my self. I saw students get in with 27pts. Have any of ya'll taken the Hesi? How did you feel about it? Has anybody gone to paramount Bldg. or North Lake admissions to speak to an adviser over the nursing program? Any advice about anything would be appreciated.
Quick question Engl. lit VS Engl. tech. writing. Which was easier to you?
Sounds like you will be doing a lot! No worries though, I'm also on the same boat. I'm currently enrolled in Micro, history 1, HPRS 1204, HPRS 1202 and Sociology. Then, I will also take classes in May, June and July. I did take HESI and too be honest, I didn't think it was that hard like people made it seem. lol! Although, I do have 6 years of experiece as a Medical Assistant and i have learned a lot throughout the years. The funny thing on HESI is that I made a 96 on AnP, 92 on math and 80 on the english section lol! I guess becasue I was too busy concentrating on math and anp. lol! I do have another test coming up next month hoping to get a higher score.
I hope I can get remotely close to your grades on HESI that would be awesome! Good luck!
I'm sure you will, it's not as hard as I thought it would be. Good Luck!
I wanted to be a teacher so I took online coursss of university of phoenix. Big mistake. I am taking 5 classes this spring (chem 1405, scit 1407, math 2342, engl 1301, and psyc 2314) Taking micro in the summer. Already scheduled for the Hesifor April. I am taking my cpr class at methodist mansfield. I am deathly afraid of the Hesi hopefully, I get in with 27 points. Sorry guys, typing from a cell.
Wow! sounds like you will have a busy semester. So are you currently employed with Methodist? 27 points sounds great, I think it's still worth applying since you never really know who you will be competing against, plus El centro takes 120 students a semester 60 will remian in the El centro campus and the other half will go to Northlake. Regarding HESI no worries! just make sure to buy the elsevier HESI study guide 3rd edition. There are also multiple practice test online you can use as a studying tool also.

Hello to all, I too am applying to ADN nursing program. I didn't think it would be this tough trying to get into nursing school lol. I have a BS degree with Devry in Health Services Mgmt....and I don't even know if they will accept any of my courses for points. I know for sure I will have to take A&P I all over again, so I'm shooting to take that this summer. I am currently enrolling in Psyc 2314 and plan to register for HPRS 1202 and/or 1204. I'm scheduled to take my HESI exam March 29th .....currently waiting on my study book.....should be here by Tuesday . So far I have a Humanities course (1315) , My psycology 2301 and English 1301 ....all others were taken at Devry. Oh, I do have Govt 2305 and Govt 2306 (but I received a D) boooo.......and Engl 2. I'm hoping to get at least 8-9 points on my HESI.....I guess I'll shoot for another History or ENgl 2311 course. I want something easy....LOL.... I'm waiting to get my transcripts evaluated and in the process of finding shot records. geesh....so much to do with what it seems so little time

Oh wow! Everyone is doing great! I too plan to apply for the spring of 2015. Currently, I'm taking 5 classes(Dmath 091, history, Govt 2306, speech, and English 1301) this semester. Yeah.......I know :-) I'm planning to take the A&p1 over the summer, but I'm a little scared of the intense reading and mastering of the material. Can anyone advise on that? Secondly, I'm also planning to start the immunization process; especially the hepatitis B. I guess the earlier the better! Good luck to all of us, we can make it happen! :-)
