El Centro / NLC Fall 2019

I wanted to start a thread to see if anyone is applying for the Fall 2019 program at El Centro (hoping to get into the North Lake program). I'm getting ready to send my application and await the process. Just didn't see a thread yet and wanted to connect with my hopeful future Colleagues. I've read the Spring 2019 thread and it was exciting to see everyone come together during this process to share in this fantastic journey! I'm hoping to connect with anyone going through this experience with and hopefully also be in the program with me.

I’m assuming it’s not the same as well, but I just want to know what test it is, so I can take it now and see how hard it is. But I guess no one else knows either. I’ll do some more digging to see if I can find out more information about the test.

They are HESI tests but they are not general education tests. They are based on what you've learned in the semester and NCLEX style questions on critical thinking. Hope that helps! ?

The only way I can think of finding out would be to ask the nursing coordinator directly... but I don’t want to sound too nosey. I was thinking he may have brought it up in a conversation with someone. The Mountain View coordinator straight told me that they were going to have well over 100 candidates applying this rotation.

Anybody anxiously awaiting the response? What are you doing to fulfill the time? I'm taking Pharmacology. Anyone excited about the process? There haven't been any recent posts. What have you all been doing?

Stalking allnurses waiting for people to say they’ve heard something! I’m taking pharm online at El Centro, and im not having the time of my life right now to be completely honest. We have to take 59 full tests in one semester!

I read that last app cycle emails were actually sent out along with paper letters. I'm curious if this will be the case this time..

I applied for the last one as well. It was only paper letter. Didn’t receive an email

I applied last cycle and was accepted. No emails were sent, good old fashioned snail mail only.

I must be trippin’! ? I honestly prefer that, I can check the mailbox once a day rather than obsessing over my email. Glad to hear I can just wait on a letter!
