Do we give dextrose before insulin or vice versa when treating hyperkalemia? I'm a baby nurse and I remember my preceptor telling me something like this but I forgot. Something about you could tank the patient if one is given before the other. Thanks!

I got accepted with 32 points. 90% on Hesi. However, I was accepted at Brookhaven and will go there. So there will be at least one opening for anyone waitlisted or next on the rank that didn’t get in.

Dcccd Fall schedules.

Hey everyone, I know I am probably getting ahead of myself, but I looked at the Fall schedule for the Fall19 semester and it looks like we can get an idea of what our 1st semester will look like. I'll being moving down to PRN in August or try to find a part time medical front office job. This is what I saw on the schedules: RNSG 1413 - FRI 8-12 RNSG 1105- THURS 8-12 OR 1-5 RNSG 1362 MON or TUES or WEDS 7-7 Things may change closer to the start date but this gives an idea at least for anyone who needs to present a schedule to their current employers for scheduling purposes or for whatever. Good to know that I'll need someone to take and pick up my daughter to and from school on clinical days since day cares do not usually open until 6:30 and close at 6:30 as well. I wish we could get our schedules sooner so people can present them to their employer and/or make child care arrangements. But hey, I won't complain. I'm just happy to get accepted and hopeful that it will work itself out.

Where do you work? I’m currently working nights at Emergency room 12 hour shifts. The 12 hrs shifts are going to kill me while in the program.

I was accepted at Brookhaven Fall 2019 so I'll be passing my spot at El Centro.

For the future applicants, I got accepted with 24.71 points with a 90% Hesi score.
