I am a new grad in the burn/trauma ICU at a level 1 trauma hospital in north Texas. I know I need at least 2 years of experience before exploring travel nursing, but I have a few questions for anyone currently working as an agency nurse. Are you required to accept a certain amounts of contracts per year? What if you only want to do one assignment per year? Has anyone taken a leave from the hospital to accept a travel assignment and then return to your "regular" hospital? I know during the pandemic nurses left to go help big cities and then came back to their job at home. For now my main focus is on my current job and developing my critical thinking skills, but I'm curious about travel one day. Any information and insight is appreciated! Thank you!

There was a lot discussed on the interviews/writing samples - look a few pages back on this thread. Success camp is the week before school.

The actual exam was very similar to the practice exams. Some of the questions were the same. Yes, you’ll take the exam on one of the 3 dates offered. You do not have to go to all 3. The first hour or so is for studying and for also the questions and then you take it. It’s all multiple choice.
