Hello,
I wanted to start a thread to see if anyone is applying for the Fall 2019 program at El Centro (hoping to get into the North Lake program). I'm getting ready to send my application and await the process. Just didn't see a thread yet and wanted to connect with my hopeful future Colleagues. I've read the Spring 2019 thread and it was exciting to see everyone come together during this process to share in this fantastic journey! I'm hoping to connect with anyone going through this experience with and hopefully also be in the program with me.
I dropped my application off today. I have less points than I anticipated but had a 92 overall on the HESI. I have an associate's degree from out of state and not all of my classes transferred I feel super discouraged. I have between 27 and 31 points depending on what classes I am given points for. I took the Hesi twice in less than 60 days so I can't apply to any other schools yet. I really want to go to El Centro but I put North Lake as my first choice because I don't want the hastle of city parking. I wonder how many people are applying! Is anyone else as nervous as I am?

Good luck to all of you - if you haven't had a chance to check out the ADN packet here is the link: https://www.elcentrocollege.edu/cd/dcc/Health/Documents/ECC/packets/adn_packet_219_final.pdf
This was updated Dec 17, 2018 and pages 5 and 8-10 detail how the points are awarded. Best of luck to you all!
Do you know how many points you had upon applying? I stalked through the Spring ADN thread and someone with 23 points said she was 5 points short. Im just trying to gauge my chances of getting in because I am impatient!

Thank you olivia for the post! Today was the last day for me to take it there at MVC and I just barely made it. I retook the test and passed all parts! Yaaaayyyy!!!! I got a 92.4 and if my points look right (with my classes being accepted) then I'm looking at 34 points total.

YAY! Congratulations that is awesome! I am sure you will get in. I am getting so nervous. I only have 28 points, I think, but after this semester I will have 32. I really wish all of my support classes transferred from Philly. Fingers crossed.

Well I may be disqualified. I just looked on the program and realized they accept the last grade for your class. For my AP I the first time i got a C then the second time I got a D. Don't know how strict they are on this rule but if they are, ECC may be out for me. Sux.

NOOOO I am sorry to hear that. Luckily the application period for Fall starts in May in case you (or I) have to apply again.
Hey y'all!
So I have been digging around and I have heard that Northlake and El Centro have incorporated taking the Hesi at the end of each semester as a part of their program. Can anyone elaborate on what type of Hesi exam that is? Is it the same Hesi exam we took to apply to the schools, or is it a special type of exam? I've heard about this and now I can't stop thinking abut it. Is it harder than the Hesi A2, or the same?

I am curious about this as well. I would assume it isn't the same.
