El Centro / NLC Fall 2019

Published

Hello,

I wanted to start a thread to see if anyone is applying for the Fall 2019 program at El Centro (hoping to get into the North Lake program). I'm getting ready to send my application and await the process. Just didn't see a thread yet and wanted to connect with my hopeful future Colleagues. I've read the Spring 2019 thread and it was exciting to see everyone come together during this process to share in this fantastic journey! I'm hoping to connect with anyone going through this experience with and hopefully also be in the program with me.

Hello,

I am so happy someone started a thread! I am also applying to North lake's nursing program and also MVC program as well. how many points will you have when you apply to North lake? if you dont mind me asking.

Hi there! I think I have 34 or so points. I'm not really clear on the point system and I can't really get a response from anyone at El Centro. I am also applying to MVC. I hadn't really considered MVC before but I researched it and it seems to be an excellent program.

Hey! I am turning my application in next week. I have no idea how many points I have, because I am retaking the HESI this week, hoping to improve my scores for a better outcome. I emailed someone from the nursing dept. and they were SO helpful. He went over my transcripts and said I have a lot of support classes which hopefully will work to my advantage. I am so anxious! I am also turning in an application at Brookhaven. Good luck everyone!

I'll be applying for Fall 2019 (preferably NLC). Without HESI pts included and if they accept my Stats and Algebra from another school, I have 21 points so I'm going to have to really go BIG for my HESI on this Friday but I'll make it. What points are you all applying with and what are your other questions as well?

Hey everyone! I am in the Spring 2019 ADN program starting next week. Good luck to all of you - if you haven't had a chance to check out the ADN packet here is the link: https://www.elcentrocollege.edu/cd/dcc/Health/Documents/ECC/packets/adn_packet_219_final.pdf

This was updated Dec 17, 2018 and pages 5 and 8-10 detail how the points are awarded. Best of luck to you all!

Hey all! I just dropped my application in the mail today, now the hardest part! I am applying with 38 points to El Centro. It’s going to be a long three months ?

Hey babysplash, what does your schedule look like for the semester? Will you be working at all while you're in school? Congrats to you and good luck in the program! :-)

On Wednesdays I have lecture classes from 7:30am-3p, Thursday I have my skills lab time is TBA so not sure how long I will be on campus, and Friday is my Clinical day 6:30am-5pm. Yes I will be working part-time but 30hrs/wk so I can keep my health insurance since it's required for the program.

Thank you so much!

Thank you babysplash! Since it's a day program, I don't believe I'll be able to keep my current job, but it would be great if I could stay and work part time. At the very least I'm trying to figure out other jobs where I can work part time around the school schedule.

Hey All,

Im also applying to El Centro’s Northlake 2019 semester, hopefully... My only issue is, I was confused on how to send in immunizations. I see that I need to go through Sentry MD. Does anyone know how long it took Sentry MD to process your records? I’m also applying to MVC! I hope to get into either one:)

Yeah I don't expect it to be easy but it will be doable. Good luck on your search!
