El Centro/Methodist Dallas Fall 2014

U.S.A. Texas

I've created this new thread for those applying to the Methodist Nursing Program linked with El Centro. This program is for those that are employed, have immediate family members employed, and volunteers that have reached a certain amount of hours at a Methodist hospital. They currently are only accepting 10 people per semester.

Ok, I've changed my mind once again and am applying for the Methodist program! I did apply for regular ECC program but am going next week to drop off my application to Kim Griffith at MHS and to RonChelle Kelly at ECC for Fall! I have 33 points total! WAHOO

I'm sure you will get in with 33 points, I don't see no reason why you shouldn't. I'm turning my application in 2 weeks and I will have a total of 25 points. I know it's not enough, but I just figured it is still worth trying. I'm also taking lots of courses this summer so I know that if I don't get in this Fall I will at least have a better chance this upcoming Spring. Have you heard of anyone else applying?

Always worth a try, forsure! I know of a few people, but some of them also applied to ECC and said they were probably going to accept that if they get an acceptance letter! I'm waiting for my letter for the regular ECC program to turn in my apps for the MHS program so I can make sure I had everything right on the application! Good luck to you! I am very excited and hope I do get in! But we shall see!

I posted before asking about where it said you can't apply to both, although I'm at THR. The packet has to basically be the same and if y'all have to initial a lot of places says specifically that you can apply to the traditional program. I don't know if your packet is the same but I can't imagine them being too different. Anyway, just thought I let you guys know if you want to look in to it.

Hope so because if that's the case, I will for sure be increase my chances for Spring. My gpa is great and hesi scores were good, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of supporting courses :/ my heart is set on Spring, but since I have the main course I might as well apply and give it a try. Keeping fingers crossed and praying I'll get called for an interview!!!

With those points...I'm sure you will get accepted to both programs!!!!

I figured out that you ARE allowed to apply to both, but if you accept the ECC that it voids your application with MHS or THR, in your case. So in order to be considered for the partnership program you have to decline the ECC offer!

I think the packets are pretty much the same! How many points are you applying with for the THR program?

Dang, I was hoping to be able to accept and then give up my spot because I'd rather get in the THR program. I just don't want to take the chance if I get in to the traditional program, then give up my spot and not get in for THR. So frustrating. I'm thinking of talking to the dean and see what she says.

I have 28 points for both since they changed the packet again :/ I'm just hoping I get into either one. I retook two classes this spring from a C and a B to As because it would have given me more points for THR but they changed the points and now I have the same amount I applied with for Spring and didn't get in (THR). My GPAs are better but that doesn't really matter :(

Awesome!!!! It's good to know that we are still able to apply for both :) I will be turning in my application next week and I'll be praying to make sure I can at least get an interview. Keeping fingers crossed!

I turned in my applications today! Very nervous and praying for an interview!! Good luck to everyone!

Times like this is when I wish I could speed up the clock. Good luck and hopefully we can all make it this Fall.

Yeah!! we have less then two months!! wahoo!
