Edison State College 2014

Hello! Is anyone applying for Edison(Lee campus) for fall of next year? I plan on applying in the spring for the evening program. I'm also in the process of finishing my last pre reqs and studying for the Hesi. I know the evening program is about 5 semesters but does anyone know if its shorter when all pre reqs are completed? So far I've gotten all A's in them. Thanks in advance

Those that have done the background check and drug screen, was it easy enough to make appt etc to have it all done? I'm leaving in a week for Illinois, so I want to ensure I can get it all done in a timely manner and back to them before Friday..

and how awesome is it we have made it in?!

I didn't make an appointment for the drug test. I was a walk in and they took me back within 20 minutes. The results were on the website around 7pm the same day. Although it says it can take up to 24 hours.

For the fingerprints the first time I made an appointment. For my retakes I called the UPS store directly and they said that I could just come in anytime before 3:30pm. You're encouraged to make an appointment but the guys told me that as long as you have you form, ID, and there before 3:30 they will honor it. At least that's how it is at the Cape Coral store. Each place might be different. It took me about 10 mins. The results usually take 2-3 days. You might get a response sooner if FDLE or the FBI rejects the prints.

A few people on here have princessax11, Dgarcia0502, Justina88, and jkasten have all gotten in the Lee day program. Everyone else is Charlotte, Collier, and night. Did you get in as well?

Does anyone know if we are supposed to do anything after completing and getting our results back(and posted on CP page)? I did all the requirements and CP both say complete and what not, do I just wait now? I know the deadline is June 20th and thats when the acceptance packets will be sent out..I just want to make sure I don't miss anything!

I don't think anyone has gotten that far yet. I would email whoever your staff assistant is and tell them that everything is all done. I'm not sure if they send the acceptance packet individually after all is completed or if they send it to everyone after the deadline. Did they email you saying that you were all cleared?

In the nursing letter in the email it says "Once all finalist results are cleared, acceptance packets will besent out." So relax for now - just wait for your acceptance packet in the mail. I just had my fingerprints and drug screen yesterday how long does it take to get the results. (it's so weird - I know they are fine - but it's like passing a police officer when you are not speeding - I still worry until he is out of sight, I feel like somehow I might not get in still ugh I'm losing it!) **Ok deep breaths....I'm better :)

I have not heard anything yet. However, they told me they are still calling people out. This is very confusing. They told me they will call people out till June 15th for the Lee morning program.

did you apply to the Lee Day program? How many points did you have and what was your HESI score?

Thanks I'm so impatient...I'm working on it lol. I know how you feel even though I know I will pass both it's the fear of the unknown.

The drug test results should be on the website by the next day. Fingerprints within 2-3 days.

lol i have the same feeling! I must have checked every morning to see if my CP had been updated with my results even though I knew what they would be. It took about five days for the fingerprints and I wanna say 3 days for the drug test=]

I took a tour of the charlotte campus the other day and saw all the classrooms! I am so excited to start!
