Hello! Is anyone applying for Edison(Lee campus) for fall of next year? I plan on applying in the spring for the evening program. I'm also in the process of finishing my last pre reqs and studying for the Hesi. I know the evening program is about 5 semesters but does anyone know if its shorter when all pre reqs are completed? So far I've gotten all A's in them. Thanks in advance
Everything came back all clear for me too. It didn't take as long as I thought that it would. I already signed up for the BLS class and I'll make an appointment for the health exam whenever they send us the acceptance packets. I think it will include everything that we need to get done. Curious are we automatically signed up for classes in the fall? I see some schedules were posted
It's a certification that we have to have before we get into the program. It's Basic Life Support for health care providers, the class teaches CPR and AED. Most hospitals and private places offer it several times a month but spots fill up quick so that's why most people want to get it out the way. I think we have to have it done by the first day of classes.

Hey KatheClaire it was included in our letter for the Charlotte campus. Go on CPR
Just put in your zip code to find classes near you. They're usually around $40 and run about 3-4 hours long. Again the classes with AHA usually fill up fast. If there's no open seats you can also use google to find an approved place that provides them. Just be sure that its American heart association approved or Edison won't accept it.
If you're in Lee county Lee Memorial Health System offers classes free for employees and $50 for non employees. There's several offerings in June and July that you can sign up for. The ones in July are offered at Edison. I'll find the info and I'll put it on here when I get into work tomorrow :)

thanks that really helps! this is the first time I've been hearing about this =/ Im going to attend the Collier campus but all I've ever received was the congratulations email telling us to get our fingerprints and drug test(nothing about the BLS course) so I'm glass I've been following the thread
Dammit I am not that patient haha
Lol me either! I know it's not good to wish your life away but I want it all done YESTERDAY! Until then I keep lurking on here reading as much as I can. Besides a few people in real life no one understands the stress and anxiety. I can't wait to finally meet you all :)
