Edison State College 2014

Hello! Is anyone applying for Edison(Lee campus) for fall of next year? I plan on applying in the spring for the evening program. I'm also in the process of finishing my last pre reqs and studying for the Hesi. I know the evening program is about 5 semesters but does anyone know if its shorter when all pre reqs are completed? So far I've gotten all A's in them. Thanks in advance

There is an orientation but we won't get that info until after the 20th. I think they're waiting on everyone's drug and backgrounds results to come back.

Hey I applied for the transitions program and got a call around the end of May that I was a finalist. Just did my drug screening and fingerprinting and now just waiting for the fingerprinting to go through. Has anyone else been accepted into the Transitions program? I was accepted with 92 points.

Also, how long did it take for fingerprinting to process?

sarlpn1984 got in as a transitions student. I'm not sure if anyone else on here applied. Most of us were entry I believe. The fingerprints take about 2 days to come back.

I just got the acceptance packet in the mail. For some reason I thought that it was going to be an email. For Charlotte students out mandatory orientation is on Tuesday August 12 9am-4pm. The CPR has to be done by then too.

That's awesome! Anything else other then the CPR that needs to be done? Has anyone from Collier got their packet yet? I wonder when our orientation is going to be.

*It has the acceptance form that we have to sign and have to them by July 3rd.

*We have to register for the student nurse network

*Read the student nurse handbook. Fill out and sign the required forms- due 8/12 for Charlotte

*Complete health form due by 8/12 for Charlotte

*BLS/CPR card due by 8/12

*complete confidentiality & security agreements for all the clinical sites. For Charlotte it will be Fawcett Memorial, Bayfront health, and Cape Coral hospital

*Uniforms-info will be communicated by email when new logo is approved

It also has our schedule info and classes that we need but we won't be able to sign up until our major is changed by the college. We will get an email confirmation once they change our major.

No, I have not received mine yet either, but I wish I did...I'm so impatient. Maybe this week we will, although I had been told they would not be sent out until after the 20th of June

Congrats to those who have been accepted!!!! I just started taking my pre-reqs, its going to take me awhile to finish them and apply lee day. Does anyone know how often the college changes their requirements? I looked at requirements to some nursing school and it looks as if they change their nursing entrance requirements every year or so.

Im afraid by the time I apply the program would be harder and even more competitive. Should I start out with getting an LPN then apply?
