I thought while I am waiting to get into the nursing program on the year long wait list, I would invest in some DVD's or CD-ROM's on nursing skills.

Are there some that are better than others?

There is Delmar's, Mosby's, Taylors, Prentice Hall, ATI???? SO many choices!

Any I've missed?

I love some input from someone who has already purchased or seen any of them.

Thanks!

Have you looked on youtube? I saw some video on catheters and injections. Some are better than others and you can save some $.

Thanks! I didn't even think of YouTube!

Someone on ebay is selling a disc full of information too, skills, CPR, Anatomy....for only $25......

Youtube is a great resource! I've been watching head-to-toes on there.

I've used youtube. Its great! There are actually nursing teachers on there walking through skills. This user has several videos on begin. skills such as assessment, bed making, meds, bath, dressing changed, wound care....all basic things you will be learning in your first semester...good luck
