  1. Good, that's exactly what I did. I figured since I am currently IN nursing school I would show what year and what rotations I've completed thus far. I understand not putting any clinical experience once you've graduated as it goes unsaid; but since I am looking for a CNA position, I figured it would be pertinent. Thanks again for all the replies.
  2. Thank you. Did not want to put information that was not appropriate on my resume and have recruiters think I am a nut!
  3. Is this appropriate? Im looking for a job as a PCA or CNA as I work my way through Nursing School. I'm a first year, second semester student and feel that the skills I've learned should be listed under my experience.
  4. I start OB/Peds next month, too. I seriously can not wait. It's going to make me have the worst baby fever!
  5. You need to know the childs weight in order to calculate the min and max dosage.
  6. Youtube is a great resource! I've been watching head-to-toes on there.
  7. Can someone help me out with this one? I'm not even sure where to begin. Do you get the answer in mg/hr and have to convert to mL/hr? Order: Inocor 50 mg, IV bolus over 2 min. Available: Inocor 100 mg/20 mL. Determine the amount that should be infused per minute. (mL/min rate)
  8. I did 120mL * 20 gtt/mL / 60 minutes and got 40 gtts/min. This is the way I was taught in clinical math....Not sure where the 83 gtts/min is coming from?
  9. I'm in my first year right now and we review a lot of A&P and a lot of what you do requires you to remember the basics of A&P. Definitely know your stuff, it provides clues about what could be going in with your patient. He may be trying to scare you into learning more? Not sure what tactic he is going for. People fail out of nursing school because it's ridiculously hard and they have high standards...as they should.
  10. Thanks! Did you initially get 399.99 then round to 400? Because that's what I got but didn't round. Thanks again.
  11. Anyone wanna take a stab at this one?? Gr 1/150 = _______mcg? Gr= grains
  12. I was going to suggest the same. When using a hot dog for sub-Q or intradermal, make sure they are cold. Otherwise, the leak and sometimes squirt you in the eye!
  13. First, I study the power points gone over in class. I make my own study guide from them and sometimes flash cards. Then I re-read the materials from the book readings assigned. Then, I tie it all together and test myself. I write and rewrite A LOT. That seems to help me out. HTH.
