I was wondering if anyone applied for Duke University's online FNP program, Fall 2014. For those that are currently attending, how long did it take to hear back from admissions?
Also, would you mind sharing info on the program? For example, numbers of hours put in weekly for part-time attendance. I realize this may vary on the particular student, but an idea will be helpful.
I am from Texas and plan on doing the online program. I had originally applied last semester but didn't complete my app on time so I had to roll it over. The wait has been torture! Wondering if they're offering phone interviews this time? The email made it seem like they were wanting in-person meetings...

Nothing yet. Did not expect to hear anything so soon from the New Year though, but then again it could have happened because the admissions people over at Rush called me on Thusrday, 1/2/14, to follow up on one of my outstanding/missing references. Hopefully we hear something this week because I really want to be able to arrange a campus visit. Wishing you all luck and peace of mind this week. Hang in there!
Hi everyone - I've recently been accepted to the fall online FNP program (through the early-decision option for people who got their BSN at Duke). Just saying hello to my potential future classmates. Just got off the phone after calling to check on a transcript. She said it'll probably be next week when email invitations go out, and decisions will be 2-3 weeks after interview. Also said they recommend in person interviews. Looks like I need to get ready to brave some N.C. weather! -hopefully
I applied for MSN/FNP part-time online for Fall 2014. No notifications yet but I always add a week to what the school says. :-)
I haven't applied to any other programs yet because I don't want to take an entrance exam. However....I am worried about the $$ of Duke if I get in. Any thoughts?
My other option would be UNCW and I have an MAT book ready to go if need be. That application isn't due until 03/1/2014.
Another week? Looks like I will have less than one week to arrange a trip to NC. Does anyone know if they give you a specific interview day and time or will we be able to pick? I might just buy a flight today and hope it works out.
My thoughts exactly! She did say that if there are extenuating circumstances phone could be arranged but we'd have to call and let them know once we receive the email. And I'm worried about the cost as well, but it truly is an investment.
