Duke Fall MSN 2020

Starting a thread for all those who have applied to the Fall 2020 Term at Duke. I have applied to the Pediatric Primary NP program.

I hope decisions aren’t delayed!! But at least our program won’t be delayed since it’s already online ?

Good morning all!

I just emailed Nora in admissions to ask if admissions decision notifications would be delayed. I’ll let you all know here if/when I hear back with any info!

I got this response from Nora re: decisions:

“Thank you for reaching out. We are in the process of reviewing all the candidates who interviewed including interviews that are finishing up this week. However as part of the review process, the DNP committee will also be reviewing candidates who applied to pBSN-DNP. Our goal has always been to release all MSN, PGC, and pBSN-DNP decisions at once to avoid any confusion. You will receive an email when the decision is posted to your applicant self-service account. We are doing everything in our power to have decisions out in the first two weeks of April according to the schedule.

I do apologize for any confusion and appreciate the grace with timing through this interesting review cycle.

Does anyone have to respond to another school soon? I need to respond to an offer letter by Friday and based on Nora's response it doesn't look like I will know about my decision by then.

Congratulations on your admission elsewhere! I was offered admission to another school at the very end of January, and I had only two weeks to respond. So I went ahead and accepted the spot there just in case, but if I’m accepted to Duke (my 1st choice), I’ll forfeit the other deposit and take the spot at Duke. It was a tough decision that my husband and I made, but we figured it’d be worth it in the long run. It can be a tough call! I wish we’d know about Duke by Friday. You could always wait till the last minute this week, I suppose?

CJRN07, same here. I accepted another offer and if I get into Duke, ill be forfeiting my deposit as well. Has anybody seen change in their application status? I've had 'Interview' but it changed to 'Under Commitee Review" today. Anybody else got this change?

Maybe the committee met today? this goes in par with what someone said in an earlier post that they would meet on the 16th. Hope so!

Hi Everyone! I applied to the FNP/BSN-DNP for fall 2020. I'm happy to be considered for this program, however, I do not understand why their process is so extensive and lengthy. Trying to wait patiently. Hope you all are staying healthy!
