Starting a thread for all those who have applied to the Fall 2020 Term at Duke. I have applied to the Pediatric Primary NP program.
Hi everyone! I had my interview on Monday Feb 17th and I think it went really well. The faculty member that interviewed was so enthusiastic and made me even more excited about the Duke experience! She also informed me that we should be hearing back mid-March to early April. Good luck to everyone!
Good luck to everyone in the interview process! I have my interview tomorrow ?
For those that have already interviewed ( @jwhitc1 @kittymulv ) did you do your zoom meeting with or without video? Thanks in advance!

I used Zoom with video. I used my phone and it worked just fine. Good luck!

I had my interview for the Neonatal track on Friday and she said of 600-800 total MSN applicants, around 200 get interviews and they accept 40-60% of those interviewed depending on how many people decline etc. Seems like a pretty wide range but that gives you an idea at least. Good luck!
Charharri4, it went pretty well, I think! Like many of the others have said, they had standard, mostly situational-based questions “how would you handle . . .,” “give an example of a time,” etc.
The faculty member I interviewed with was not specifically a WHNP instructor, though he may teach some of the core/primary courses. It was a relaxed and friendly conversation, though, so no worries! There is time for questions at the end, as well.
Best of luck to you!! I hope we will be admitted together and get to know one another!
I had my interview today and it also went pretty good. Dr. Bowers interviewed me. She is not part of the PMHNP program and like others have already mentioned, she did not have access to my application packet. After the interview, we had plenty of time for Q&A. She mentioned we should hear back from Duke in April. Someone here mentioned they were told mid-March, early April. Fingers crossed it's earlier rather than later.
Best of luck to EVERYONE!

I did mine this morning. It’s with a faculty member that hasn’t seen any of your application packet before. Very low key and no threatening feeling. All situational questions, why you chose this track, and then there is sometime at the end for you to ask the interviewer some questions.
