Starting a thread for all those who have applied to the Fall 2020 Term at Duke. I have applied to the Pediatric Primary NP program.
Mine still says "Interview" too. I had mine back on the 20th. My interviewer said decisions would be made late March early April. Regardless, I still check every few hours LOL. Just like others have said in this post, my interview was situational questions and very relaxed and non-threatening. She congratulated me on making it this far since she mentioned that they received over 400 applications and only 200 were offered an interview, for all tracks I think?. I applied to the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Track, any others in the same track here?
Hey! I applied to the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Post-Grad certificate program. I was told that even though I’m a post grad applicant, I still have to compete with MSN applicants for a spot. My interviewer was the clinical coordinator and was super nice! Where are you from? Good luck to you!
Hi BeachBabeC! I'm from Tampa FL and will be completing my clinicals in this area. Maybe you're from Florida too hence your name?! My interviewer was the Chair of the primary care program, She was extremely nice and helpful and my whole interview seemed more like a conversation rather than a question/answer serious-interview. Are you an NP already? Good Luck to you as well!
That’s awesome! I wish I lived in Florida but actually live in Kentucky. We do vacation to FL and the beach often! Maybe if we get in we could start a fb group to connect with others. It would be great to have the support since it’s a distance learning program. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us. I’m so ready to hear a decision!!
I also applied for the adult gerontology acute care program! @BeachBabeC @criver6 ☺️
are you guys following all the coronavirus craziness?! it looks like Duke is one of the universities that suspended all on campus classes and is moving everything to online instruction for the time being. They are also allowing most of the staff to work remotely too. All this will delay decisions, for sure?! how are you guys holding up? My hospital is implementing a lot of new protocols, policies and procedures as a way to revamp preparedness. Anyways, I work in the ER so I'm in the frontlines! ?

I had my interview today and was told late March, possibly the first week of April.
