  1. That’s what I figured. Thank you for the info!
  2. I just finished completing my MAT plan, and I noticed that for the Summer courses, there is a Term I and Term II. The registrars office said that some courses run the whole Summer, and some only run for the first half. For those who are in the program or who have completed it, did you just take the one NURS 589 (Phys/Patho) course during the first Summer session? If so, did it run the whole Summer, or did it run for only the first half?
  3. I’m in!!! Praise God!! WHNP! CONGRATS to everyone! I can’t wait to meet you all!
  4. I feel the same way! Waiting anxiously while trying to stay positive and not check my email obsessively. ? Hopefully this will be the week!
  5. Yes!! I’m checking my email constantly.
  6. Yes, me too! I just found out this afternoon that I was accepted to a second school, which is great, but I need to let them know around April 1. I’ve already put a deposit down on one, but this second one trumps the first, but I don’t want to forfeit a second deposit. ??‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong—I’m super thankful to have options, but the waiting is getting more and more difficult, and I don’t want it to get more and more expensive. ? I'm reminding myself that God’s in control—it’ll work out. Let’s all keep encouraging each other. Here’s to finding out sooner rather than later! ?
  7. From what I understand from my interviewer, the interviewer writes up a report/review from the interview, and that is added as a piece to the admissions packet (with all our other submissions), and the whole thing is treated as a composite. That’s what I understand, at least. They have one person review your file in depth when submitted and make a report, a separate person do the interview part, and then the admissions committee looks at everything and ranks everyone and makes decisions.
  8. yes, me too, on both counts!! ?
  9. Mine changed today, too.
  10. Congratulations on your admission elsewhere! I was offered admission to another school at the very end of January, and I had only two weeks to respond. So I went ahead and accepted the spot there just in case, but if I’m accepted to Duke (my 1st choice), I’ll forfeit the other deposit and take the spot at Duke. It was a tough decision that my husband and I made, but we figured it’d be worth it in the long run. It can be a tough call! I wish we’d know about Duke by Friday. You could always wait till the last minute this week, I suppose?
  11. I got this response from Nora re: decisions: “Thank you for reaching out. We are in the process of reviewing all the candidates who interviewed including interviews that are finishing up this week. However as part of the review process, the DNP committee will also be reviewing candidates who applied to pBSN-DNP. Our goal has always been to release all MSN, PGC, and pBSN-DNP decisions at once to avoid any confusion. You will receive an email when the decision is posted to your applicant self-service account. We are doing everything in our power to have decisions out in the first two weeks of April according to the schedule. I do apologize for any confusion and appreciate the grace with timing through this interesting review cycle. ~Nora“ So I guess we’re in for a wait!
  12. Good morning all! I just emailed Nora in admissions to ask if admissions decision notifications would be delayed. I’ll let you all know here if/when I hear back with any info!
  13. Charharri4, it went pretty well, I think! Like many of the others have said, they had standard, mostly situational-based questions “how would you handle . . .,” “give an example of a time,” etc. The faculty member I interviewed with was not specifically a WHNP instructor, though he may teach some of the core/primary courses. It was a relaxed and friendly conversation, though, so no worries! There is time for questions at the end, as well. Best of luck to you!! I hope we will be admitted together and get to know one another!
  14. OK, interview done! ✔️ I’m excited and nervous and a little anxious. Phew! Back into the waiting game—good luck to all!
