Hi All,
Just wanted to get a thread going for those who are applying to the Fall 2015 ABSN program. What are some of your degrees in? Is anyone applying to other schools? Also, is anyone planning on moving to North Carolina to attend?
I just got this email a minute or so ago.
Because admissions decisions have not yet been made, I wanted to reach out to you and keep you informed of the next steps in the process. This letter is being sent to remind you to save the date for Duke Days!
Should you be offered admission to the Fall 2015 cohort, you will receive an invitation to attend Duke Days. You will have the option to attend one of the Duke Days events on Friday, March 27th or Monday, March 30th.
Duke Days is an all-day event planned just for you to meet with your faculty, and to learn more about the Duke ABSN program. However, this event is also an opportunity for you to take an in-depth look at what our institution has to offer. It is highly recommended that admitted students attend one of the two event days. Here are some of the presentation topics that will be delivered that day:
Should you have any questions about your application or status, please contact us and we will promptly respond to your inquiry.
Sincerely,
Hey everyone,
I just spoke to the admissions office as well. The email we received is just a save the date. We only got the email because we are going to faculty for review. It was explained to me that some ppl might need to travel a long way for Duke Days, so the dates only were made available. Right now it is just the waiting game until March.
Hello all,
Just wondering if any of you know where, exactly, we will see a change in our application status? I know it is still early and I shouldn't expect to see or hear anything very soon but I will definitely start checking! I've logged into Duke SISS and the only place I really can figure there would be a change is under "notifications". I think we may also receive an email? Any of you have any insight?
Good luck to each of you!

According to the admission officer, we'll get a Save the Date email for Duke Days so we can mark it on our calendar in case we are accepted. The Save the Date email does not mean we got in (yet hopefully!). The Save the Date will go out end of Jan/ beginning of Feb, admissions decisions go out in March. Hope that helps!
