Drug Screen for Fall Nursing Program

Hi!

I was accepted into a program at my local CC for this fall. I go tomorrow for a drug screen. I just have one question about it.

I have extremely bad PMS cramps and yesterday I took a Vicodin that was left from an appy I had last May to help relieve the pain. My question is, will the Vicodin I took yesterday at 5 p.m. show up on the drug test I take tomorrow morning?

I have the bottle and there were a few left after my surgery and I have periodically taken one when my cramps are really bad. Will this be an issue? Thanks!

:)

Yes, and if you did not have a current Rx for it, you won't be excused for it. Nothing you can do but cross your fingers.

I agree with pp. Even though it was prescribed to you, it was a long time ago. I would be honest with the person who collects the sample. The program may allow you a second chance since it was prescribed to you as long as no other drugs show up. I would just ask. Honesty is the best policy.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. I will go ahead and tell them beforehand. Nothing else will show up. I agree honesty is the best. Thanks again!
