I have been a practicing RN for years and get an updated version of Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference every year. I like it because the drugs are listed alphabetically by generic name or I can look them up by brand or generic name in the index and find them very quickly.

I have the 2008 Mosby's and Saunders (which is essentialy the same company). I like Mosby's better, though.

Our school issued us the most current Davis Drug book, but I'm looking into getting a different one.
I tend to like Mosby's books so I may look into that one.

Where do you get a good palm? And where do you buy the downloaded books? Are updates free? for how long? As a student, I am trying to figure out whether to buy a palm, or to just buy the books.

I have used Epocrates, there is a free version which is updated weekly. I am considering changing. There are other applications which offer more information in less gigabytes.
