Hi everyone, I couldn't find a thread for Drexel FNP fall 2014 so I figured I would start one so we can all meet/chat ahead of time. I'm currently living in the DC area and I'm excited to be visiting Philly a few times a year. Anyone else out there find out yet?
I am also waiting to hear back. I didn't realize that June 15 is the date that we are now looking at. It is getting awfully late to plan for work scheduling, etc. We are already planning for a September schedule and without having a letter from Drexel, it is making it very hard to plan life. Hoping to hear back soon. Congratulations to those that have already been accepted. Best of luck to those that are still waiting.
Just found out today that I am accepted into the Fall 2014 FNP program. Your posts are freaking me out with the tests, studying and so on. I do work full time but am starting to wonder how that will be for me. Do you we really have to take a patho pretest? Does anyone have any idea how our workload looks for the fist semester? Two classes, three??? SO excited!!.
I made a PNP thread for Fall 2014-- for other peds people, feel free to post there https://allnurses.com/post-graduate-nursing/drexel-pc-pnp-906802.html

Thats the Plan of Study for the program (click "Plan of Study") . Just keep in mind that to qualify for Financial Aid you have to have 4.5 credits a quarter. I emailed my assigned advisor and she recommends looking into the certificate programs and earning one concurrently with the FNP. Using the certificate classes to fill in the semesters where the normal plan is not enough to qualify for aid.
Im excited to start. I know September will be here before we know it.

I posted in another thread for the PNP about the credit issue. You have to take an elective and then have 3 quarters without enough credits for financial aid. There are many of us who did a certificate in order to ensure financial aid. There are a few options that are 4 classes long...and they have been adding new certificate programs here and there.
Warning though...when you are done the certificate you will apply for graduation because of finishing that certificate. This sent a notice to the financial aid people that I was no longer going to be in school...their system can only handle one thing at a time. So you will start getting letters about how you are done and loans are going to come due...there's nothing you can do about it except to wait it out. It will get sorted out and then they will see again you are a student...but it will think you are done for a bit.

Hi ladies I am a late applicant and I'm still waiting to hear back it makes me nervous that all of you have already been accepted. I understand that the deadline for them to tell us whether or not we got in is June 15, crossing my fingers!
