Hey Everyone,
I noticed there wasn't a thread for this group yet so of course the most simple solution was to make one! Hopefully everyone can share their thoughts, questions and updates here.
Just submitted my application and essay. Now I'm just waiting on completion with transcript processing. Trying to stay calm and ready myself for the wait.
Good Luck Everyone :)
Hey Guys!!!
I just got accepted this morning to the Fall 2016 ACE 11 Month Day Program!! AHHH!! I'm so excited! Did anyone else hear yet? I'm 100% going here. This school is my top choice. Good luck to everyone waiting! Be patient and keep trying I promise you'll get that acceptance e-mail regardless from somewhere. This took me quite sometime to get into a school. I look forward to meeting everyone for the Nursing ACE Class of 2017!!!
Congratulations to all those who have been accepted! I just applied literally yesterday. I hadn't heard about this program until yesterday and I never really had an interest for PA, but I met someone who said they liked the program. They accept applications on a rolling basis if the deadline is missed, so we'll see what happens with me for Fall 2016. Also, I didn't see a part on the ACE application where a personal statement was needed to be uploaded? Did you all just mail them one or did you attach it to your resume? I called the admissions office, and they told me they were only asking for transcripts and resume? If anyone has information regarding this, please let me know as it'd be greatly appreciated :)
Hey,
I met with admissions a couple months back. The counselor indicated to me that the personal statement was very optional. She strongly emphasized the importance of grades, academic background and pre-req completion status when it came to acceptance criteria.
The counselor told me that if a candidate submits a personal statement, the most relevant information is an action plan for completing pre-reqs. So I did submit one, but it was basically three sentences saying in so many words, "I'm taking my last pre-req now, and will be completed prior to the start of the program."

I submitted a regular personal statement as a PDF file. I sent it to the enroll Drexel email at first and I don't think they received it to attach to my application so I sent it to the personal email of someone who responded to one of my questions. Just keep checking the portal and if you don't see something you sent in follow up & they will let you know.
Hi Everyone:
Ah! I have been checking the portal about 50x a day since I found out people have been hearing back lol. My application was complete on 9/10. I have most prereqs complete with the exception of APII, Stats, and Micro. My prereq GPA is very high but my overall undergrad GPA is LOW... So I am not too confident I will be accepted this round. I jumped the gun in applying and feel as though I should have waited until I finished my prereqs to boost my cumulative GPA. I figured I would give it shot anyway and hope for the best! I also applied to Gwynedd Mercy.
Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted and good luck to all still waiting!!!!

My advice is to get your degree, you need a degree to enter any second degree BSN program then during the summer enroll in your community college and take the courses you need. You can't get around the lab courses with CLEP or DSST you will need to take a class to get credit.
Unless you have a financial plan, you are better taking you general courses at a community college it is cheaper then taking them at Drexel.
