I heard back today that I was offered the position! I think calls are going out today and next week.

Keck Hospital of USC RN Versant Program April 2018
I interviewed for an ICU position last week, and I haven't heard back yet. I also didn't ask when we would be hearing back, but I hope it's soon. I've been waiting a week!

Stanford RN RESIDENCY PROGRAM March 2018
I see on the application that there are only 4 types of units available: Medical, Surgical, Psych and Onc. Are the Medical and Surgical floors med-surg only or does that include ICU?

Applying for Duke ABSN fall 2016
Hi calbear! The max amount of scholarship I have been told is $15,000 per semester. Looking at the fin aid package I got, I think the 64k (almost 65k) cost of attendance is for the 2016 Fall, 2017 Spring, 2017 Summer terms (2016-2017 school year). Does that mean the total tuition of the program is more like 84k, because the Fall 2017 semester term was not included in the package? It is technically 2017-2018 school year, and I think that is why they did not include it. How tricky, if this is the case.

Emory ABSN Fall 2016
@avt829 I can answer that! I wrote before in an earlier post that tuition is 21k for one semester, so 84k for the entire program. This number is tuition alone and does not include housing, books, supplies, etc. To answer your question specifically, books and supplies will also add up and increase the cost of attendance and is technically an academic cost, so that is at least +$300 (fees) +$1,800 (supplies) per semester, giving you a total of around $23,100 per semester.

Emory ABSN Fall 2016
@EGGnurse2b I'm going and the flight is booked(!!), but I haven't received an invitation to RSVP to the actual event yet. I wonder if they will have "activities" for people who come with us. My S/O will be with me and I don't want him to be bored the entire day! @kikiya I actually emailed Emory's "nursingquestions" email address to ask if they have a submatricuation option for ABSN students to move into the MSN that is easier for current students than going through the application process again, but their answer was vague and not too helpful. Basically they wrote that after receiving the ABSN we would be eligible to apply for the MSN program. I am assuming that we would have the same chances of getting in as anyone else applying for the program.

Applying for Duke ABSN fall 2016
I was accepted, too! @viitaga12, those are some very good schools to choose from!

Emory ABSN Fall 2016
I was accepted back in October, and I haven't received a hardcopy of my acceptance. I haven't submitted by deposit yet, so maybe it will come after the deposit is submitted. Just a guess!

Applying for Duke ABSN fall 2016
Hi Purplepixie! I know how you feel! I'm sort of in a bind as well. I was hoping to hear from all the schools I applied to by now so that I could get a good idea of my options and financial aid packages before submitting a deposit and picking a school. I don't really have a "top choice" since all the schools I applied to are way way out of my area and am planning to make a decision based on the financial aid packages I am offered. Duke is the last school I am waiting to hear from and my deposits are due before March 18. GRRR! Worst comes to worst, I will submit a deposit for the school that works best for me financially and be out $200 ... I mean, there isn't much else to do if I want to secure a seat. In your case, it doesn't seem like a lot of planning needs to be done NOW versus in a week or two, so relax until you hear from duke! Like, I get that you might be anxious but don't jump the gun, because if you get in to Duke, then you will have wasted all that time planning (assuming you pick Duke over UF). Maybe you can browse apartment listings near UF to get a good idea of housing costs but don't put down a deposit, you know? Anyways, congrats on UF! Hopefully you hear back from Duke before any money is asked of you! PM me if you wanna chat more!

Thanks for the info! What a long wait. The deposits on my other schools are due around that time, so I hope Duke will let us know before then...

UCLA MECN 2016
@knenopoulos, in an email I received back in Nov, it stated that we should receive updates about the status of our applications between March and April. It is SUCH a long wait.... and I really hope it comes sooner than that.
