Drexel ACE Fall 2016

Hey Everyone,

I noticed there wasn't a thread for this group yet so of course the most simple solution was to make one! Hopefully everyone can share their thoughts, questions and updates here.

Just submitted my application and essay. Now I'm just waiting on completion with transcript processing. Trying to stay calm and ready myself for the wait.

I heard if you have a majority of your pre-reqs done it's a little bit better. I think that those who applied earlier on may start hearing this week based off of the other forum... unless that's just wishful thinking. haha.

The other forum had the same deadline last year of October 15th and then they started hearing by like October 21st... but who knows!

Hey all,

I sent an inquiry about my application, since it was submitted in late August, and here is what I received from an admissions director:

"I do apologize for the confusion and any inconvenience you may have experienced. However, the time frame as to when to expect a decision is 6 - 10 weeks after the Committee begins reviewing (or your application becomes complete, which ever is later). Unfortunately, the Committee has not yet begun to review applicants for the Fall 2016 ACE program. The Committee should begin review in the next couple of weeks. Please remember the time frame is an average, not a promise of an exact decision date. Once a decision has been made on your application you will receive an email explaining you can log into the Discover Drexel Portal to view your application decision."

O wow, so we might not hear back from Drexel for a while? I also applied to University of Maryland but thats for Spring 2016. Supposed to find out the admission decision for UMD in mid November. I have a 4.0 GPA in Prereqs, Overall GPA of 3.6 for last 60 credits and submitted letters of recommendation for Drexel. I have a BS in Business and just received my CNA. Starting work in the ER in the next couple weeks UMD is my top choice but still considering Drexel even if I do get in to UMD.

I applied in early October and just heard back yesterday that I was accepted! Only got the email and notification on the portal, they said the letter would be coming in the mail soon. But many of your GPA's are much better than mine so I wouldn't worry, I'm sure you'll get in and find out soon!!!

Wow congrats! That's crazy! :) I was just at the school yesterday and they said they haven't even started reviewing because of a new program they're doing? She said like 6 weeks but that made me happy to see news is coming in!!! :)

I'm also waiting to hear back! I was accepted to Gwynedd within 3 weeks and the application process was just as simple as Drexel.. But I really would rather go to Drexel. I applied late September and will have my degree in human biology from temple this upcoming may. Taking nutrition next semester. Wish we'd find out already!

My application is finally under review and my essay never got attached to the application so hopefully it gets attached in time for a decision to be made. Waiting is so tough but congrats on your acceptance!
