Has anyone heard back from for the fall 2010 class? My husband attended the info session for me a few weeks ago (he works in Philly and I had to work late), and he loved the school. On their website it says you have to have 7 pre-reqs completed prior to applying, but then it says they will not review transcripts until after you are accepted. Does anyone have any info on this?

Geez! I hate all of the stipulations and hoops we have to jump through. I would check Ocean.edu, online classes. They have some accelerated classes, 8 or so weeks, starting in march!

What other classes are you missing?

They will still consider you, dont sweat it. Officially all you need is one science completed as well as I think 5 or 6 "others" to be given an acceptance. Your acceptance is conditional that you get a c in all your future courses. So submit what you have as soon as you can and you should be good. Assuming you have at least one science done.

Nope. Your GPA is just your Drexel classes. If you go on to grad school I'm sure they'll consider an overall cumulative GPA, but you start out fresh.

I took ethics during my undergrad days, but I have heard great things about Ocean CC online programs in NJ. Are all of your transcripts in yet?

Hmmm...tuition for one course would still be $$$ cause I'm a NY resident. Maybe I can take a summer course through NYU and have my employer (NYU) reimburse me :idea: I'll just hope that my boss will let me shift my hours around in the summer. An online course would be the most ideal but let's see if I get accepted first! =P

And about the transcripts...I still have one more left to be delivered. I just ordered it the other day and they don't do online orders so I'm sure it won't be another 5-10 days until receives it and reviews my application.

The only science i have completed is the chemistry. well with that been said, which chemistry are they looking for? I took intro to general and organic chemistry 1&2. Will either one of that be okay? I really pray they consider me.

wifee47 - what about the cuny schools? I'm pretty sure BMCC and Hunter have some online classes.

Thanks for the heads up, AugustRain. I'll look into their Distance Learning Programs. Hopefully they're offered in the summer and that accepts their Ethics course (Cultural and Ethical Issues in Science and Technology).

Hey guys,

I was thinking about writting a letter explaining why I had not retaken the A&P1 AND 2 AND microbiology. Do you guys think its necessary? Just want a second thought

waka - I don't think it's necessary to write a letter, just list them as courses in progress. They know that most people still have classes to complete. I'm pretty sure I had 6 or 7 that I was taking when I applied. As for chem, as long as it's a gen chem with lab, it should count.

wifee47 - Check 's ACE website, but I think a general or biomed ethics will be accepted, so you'll likely be fine.

Yeah, this site is good for procrastinating, so you'll probably get lots of quick replies!

I don't remember the specifics of the application, but there was a part where it said that supplemental materials could be sent in, so I mailed a list of courses in progress and a resume.
