Drexel ACE Fall 2010

Has anyone heard back from Drexel for the fall 2010 class? My husband attended the info session for me a few weeks ago (he works in Philly and I had to work late), and he loved the school. On their website it says you have to have 7 pre-reqs completed prior to applying, but then it says they will not review transcripts until after you are accepted. Does anyone have any info on this?

I know most hospitals in the area were on a hiring freeze, especially for new grads, but whats the consensus been amongst yourself and classmates on finding jobs?

Kristin850408-I really want to but there is no way that I can make it on that day. Would you mind posting any important info given at the workshop? I plan on visiting some time in April to check out the school and look at apartments. Do you have any idea where you are planning on staying?

Thanks. I think most of us had an okay time finding jobs. Things seemed to open up a little in the fall, and almost everyone I've heard from/about is working. The competition for new grad positions in the area is tough, but they're out there.

hey readyforphilly---If I do get the day off I will definitely let you know what they say during the workshop. I am not sure where I'm staying. I've been looking on the off-campus housing website and on roommates.com but I'm not really sure yet. What about you?

Hey Kristin, I have no idea whatsoever. I have been checking out the off-campus website as well. I do know that I don't want to stay on campus. Part of me wants to stay by myself and the other part wants a roommate (I have never lived alone and in Philly, I would be so far from home).

ReadyforPhilly-yeah I know what you mean. I want to have a roommate because it will be cheaper and good to know someone in the city. (I am not from the area either). But at the same time I don't want to get stuck with a creepy person! Ideally, I would like to room with someone from the ACE program but I don't have any leads yet.

Kristin-Yea, I feel you on the creepy person part which is why I wish that I could go to the workshop so that I could meet the other ppl who will be entering into the program in the fall. Should we start a facebook group like the pervious classes have?

I got a status update in the mail last Friday. Just saying that they're still waiting for my other transcript. This wait is brutal! Did anybody hear anything else?
